I think what Carl was getting at is that both Millsap and LMA play in the NBA (same league).

Actually among the stats gurus Millsap has always been considered the better player. I know it is hard to imagine, but it is true. Fans and media talking heads are just not very good at assessing talent and contributions.

There was a lull in the early season where I thought Motie needed a change of pace. Turns out all he needed was minutes.

I almost would trade Howard at this point for a top tier front court player and additional assets. Motiejunas has more ability on the offensive side of the floor than Howard will ever dream of and Motiejunas seems to be growing defensively.

Harden and Motiejunas play so well together. Love watching Motiejunas go to work.

4~5 years could be better for evaluation if one can be patient. Could not resist from quoting ppl's opinions on the subject Dmo when you looking from a distance.

    highly entertaining.

I agree. But the more a player performs on a high level the more likely he will continue to perform on a high level. Statistics in the NBA start overcoming the small sample size problem at around 20 games. I believe that 20th game is on December 31st. Until then my opinion will not change. And the daily SSS warning will continue.

I am also thinking the better one player works in a system the less likely the team is trying to trade him away.

He might not even have to be a star individual player.

All he has to do is play well enough that the team is winning games

I really wonder who would net us more in return - TJones or DMo.

I think it has to be TJones. He just seems to be a more well known commodity around the league, since he's been performing at a pretty high level (offensively) for a somewhat long period of time. DMo's still flying under the radar I think so you won't get fair value for him, while I think TJones might even be overrated around the league.

Speculation. What speaks for Tjones is his Dlegue allstar title, his NCAA champion title and his serviceable offensive display without having many touches.

I think he was also featured in the Rookie, Sophomore challenge.

But there are enough teams that love Euros as much as fanboys here do.

I agree. If a player is more valuable to his current team than to the rest of the NBA then he almost never will be traded. But honestly with the position and skills overlap between Howard and D-Mo, I suspect that D-Mo will be in some trade talks. I would imagine that D-Mo's ability to shut down the paint and his exquisite post game make him incredibly valuable as an asset. However, IMHO he will never be traded this season for anything other than an all star big. But that I am even approaching that territory means that D-Mo has come a long long way.

It is not even close sir. Athletic undersized power forwards are almost a dime a dozen in the NBA. D-Mo? D-Mo comparable players are very rare.

Who is undersized again? So would TJones be undersized with 6'10 according to you? That is one inch. His length does not make him undersized.

Height and Length are both important when you are talking about NBA size measurement.

Dmo is rare with 7' because of his natural position but I think the team needs him to play Center and 7' is decent Center size but nothing special.

That + DMo's length (wingspan) for a 7-footer is really poor. I think he has a shorter wingspan than his height.
