You do not trade 7 feet, left handed, quick as a cat, intelligent players, you build around them. DMo is a foundation piece. DD
Against D-Mo in the first half of the Clippers game, Blake scored 2 points in 11 minutes. Blake went off for another 16 in the half when D-Mo was on the bench.
For any team that does not have a Howard type center. Interesting that D-Mo becomes a FA the summer that Howard has a player option.
Then DMO may not be that mentally tough if that happens. He's turned a confidence corner IMO, he'll be fine any way he's used. Manu Ginobli is a mentally tough SOB and he comes off the bench. DMO, Pappa, Terry and Cannan ect. make the Rockets bench extremely tough now. Its about who finishes the game IMO, Ginobil is one of the main closers for the Spurs.
I've been comparing DMo to Lin. It is possible that this is DMo's Linsanity stretch. I hope it is not the case. I am a huge DMo fan. But confidence (from which comes consistency) is my biggest concern with him.
The difference, DMo actually has elite skills, a few of them. Lin isn't elite at anything (as the last article by Woj about Lin indicates).
Jones will be out for a while after Howard returns. I believe he will adjust. Just so long as he is getting 30 minutes a night. And I don't foresee him getting less than that. He is the one Rocket that can shut down opponents power forwards.

Valid concern. To me he brings both O and D to the table. Lin on the other hand... At a minimum, if he brings the D every game, I would be happy with that.
I think the team needs to analyze some of the Mavericks tapes and how they get the ball to Nowitzki in the post. I noticed that whenever DMo gets fronted, the guards have no clue what to do. I think it's about time we drew 1 or 2 plays for DMo.
Dmo is untouchable in reality. Because the only people i'd def trade him for ,will never be offered to us (Aldridge , Blake ,Love,Davis, etc)
Can't trade him now...he's just hitting his stride. Looks like the game is slowing down for him and he is operating at a good pace. When he was coming off the bench, he seemed to be going 110 mph when he only needed to go 70. Its been fun to watch his progress these last couple of weeks.
Blake scored 14 points on 50% shooting in 18 minutes with Dmo on the court. He scored 16 points on 62.5% shooting in 12 minutes with Dmo on the bench.
He's lucky he's as tall as he is, which combined with his skillset makes him nearly untouchable but for only the premiere 4/5s.
