Doesn't matter whether he's currently with the Vipers or the Lakers, we'd be calling him up from a D-League team either way.

Is a grade 1 MCL sprain what kept JuJu out all season last year?

His was an LCL sprain and he came back and tweaked it again, then needed surgery.

Rockets are miles better than the Bulls when both teams are healthy. As are most of the western conference.

Could we at least attempt to be optimistic about KP? Until we get definitive news, this dire speculation is ****ing depressing and just as likely to be wrong as right. It could be minor. I'm often shocked that a player quickly bounces back and the injury simply looked worse than it was. Please let this be the case. His loss would be devastating.

I'm an orthopedic surgeon and if you're suspecting an ACL injury, braces are given initially for some comfort and support. After a few weeks you won't need a brace as the swelling improves. The braces usually provide you some varus/valgus constraint. And you are right, definitely no casts. Regaining range of motion after any knee injury to vital prior to operating. A stiff knee prior to surgery makes rehab much tougher.
