I miss Dwight and Ben and Jones too. But, this is really a blessing in disguise IMO. We get to develop our inexperienced players to prepare for large(r) roles in the playoffs when we need them. As long as we are keeping a steady pace, and our injuries are out of the way by the time we get ready for a strong run after the All-Star break and into the playoffs!

how do none of our injuries have a return date. Jones is a "who knows"when. Dwight has been a "maybe next game" for weeks now. Like its kinda comical

That's why I'm starting to give in to my inner Oliver Stone/Bob Orci conspiracy theorist. Not with T-Jones. A nerve injury is tough to offer a prognosis on. The Spurs are dealing with a similar situation with Tiago Splitter and his calf injury.

But something just isn't right about Dwight. A knee injury is not an uncommon ailment in the NBA. Even if he needed to sit for a while, the medical staff should've been able to offer some sort of timetable for how long he'd be out. Certainly after this long, we shouldn't still be hearing the same "doubtful", "questionable", "day-to-day" canned response from the organization.

    lol

Personally I feel that since we were winning that resting Howard was more important. If it was the playoffs I feel sure he would have played. Hard to say though. It is early in the season and 82 games is a grind.

Besides Dmo is bringing it so lets see him continue to show us he is not a fluke.

    Another team another beat down.

terry isn't gonna have his legs tonight. i see the minutes looking like this:

    black (24) - dorsey (24)
    dmo (40)
    ariza (40) - garcia (24)
    harden (40)
    terry (28) - johnson (20)

    VS

    based on last nights minutes:
    plum (24) - len (12)
    morris (36) - tolliver (12)
    tucker (36) - morris (24)
    dragic (36) - green (20)
    bledsoe (40)

the rockets don't want to get into a running match tonight. they need to feed dmo in the post get back on defense to prevent the suns fast break. and they want to go under the screens to give up the jumpers. you dont want them to be able to attack the paint against us off of screens, and if you trap the pick they are great passers and finishers. just go under and let them shoot long shots all game.

    lolo

Pretty much do as they have been. Beat the crap out of any that enter the basket area and double on the wing. Then on offense we shoot for a record amount of 3's if the feeding of Dmo into the post ain't working.

    Then Harden makes them cry.

    This.

If he woulda stunk up the 3rd and we needed him to go off in the 4th and OT to win it would be "Harden is so clutch", but since he carried us for 3 quarters and his play fell off and we had to hold on to a lead and scrap in OT, he nearly "choked" the game away.

    Weird how that works.

Too bad we can't use 10 day contracts yet.

I get that, but if that's the case then the Rockets are playing with fire here. 15-4 is a great achievement given all these injuries, but it won't mean squat if Harden, Ariza, and Terry are physically spent by the time we reach the All-Star Break.

As long as we get no reports of him meeting Dr. James Andrews.

You would rather have a worse record?

15-4 means cushion and flexibility to rest them if we need to

I'm unfortunately going to miss most of this game live. I was hoping Phoenix would have a weaker record than this, though... still hoping they fall off the map soon, creating some February possibilities.

If we are able to lose by less than 20 then I will consider it a win. If we actually win with 3 starters and 2 other rotation guys down I will believe in miracles.

This would be like you beating James Harden one on one, to ten and he gives you 7 points. Possible but holy crap what an upset it would be. Black, Dorsey, Garcia, Johnson all pulling down serious time.

We win if three of these four things happen:
    1) Dmo continues his post dominance (PHX has no one to guard him)
    2) We hit 14+ threes, shooting effiecently.
    3) James has another MVP performance (against Tucker, though)
    4) We control the pace of the game.

Tonight can get pretty interesting, both teams on the second night of back to back. Our injuries might be a huge factor tonight. Is Bev coming back?

Tucker has been starting only for two games so far, so he's relatively fresh despite b2b. Defensively, rockets must not let more than one of dragic-green-bledsoe get hot. Kieff is very consistent and will get his 15 points and pj will hit 1-2 corner threes. If rockets manage to up the offensive output of those five suns, they are on a good road to a win because other suns suck offensively (except tj warren but he's relegated to the end of the bench).

Hate to say, but we have really small chance of winning this. No Howard, TJones, Pap, Canaan, Beverley + its hard to play second game of b2b against fast-tempo team like Suns

Hate that we waived Robert Covington, who now is the leader of 76ers. Couldve been ideal situation to showcase him and the trade for 2nd rounder or keep him as an asset. Now we have no healthy backup PF, nor PG (Johnson SG). Worst season in terms of injuries. Now I feel how Bulls fans were last couple of seasons
