What a stupid thing to say. What does Hawkins know about AI? I mean, can he even play basketball?

Ironically it seems he would be the brain child of our version of sky net using his brain as the central processor. He's up to something man.

hahaha - sorry, I know it's cheeseballs, but I'm a holmes fan of all iterations, no matter how bad.

oh I watch it (obviously), but still. It is low on the ladder of Holmes.

Read the whole article. The title is based on one sentence and the rest of the article doesn't have anything to do with this, nice.

The future of AI scares the daylights out of me though it should be a long time before it becomes dangerous.

It's hard to not be crazy when you're that damn smart; you think to different levels than a normal person. In Hawking's case, his physical disability makes him think almost completely internally as he has limitations on what he can do.

His intelligence is vastly overrated. there are several people on this earth that are way more intelligent.

Hawking is about headlines and his theories have generally been disproven.

Give me Brian Green everyday over Hawking.

Long as I don't see AI in a bowling alley, I'm all good.

He should update his voice to the 21st century. I'm thinking something to the effect of a male siri.

1st: IQ doesn't really measure intelligence, your statement isn't based on facts anyhow.

2nd: Generally disproven? Please show me. One or two okay, but "generally"? Most of theoretical astrophysics can't be disproven with our current knowledge, there are no really correct or incorrect theories (string theory, black holes, dark matter, multiverse, etc) right now.

I thought he meant the film A.I. It was terrible, and it could still lead to the end of mankind.
