I know he's way past his prime and way overpaid and probably one of the worst contracts in the league, but the guy still does some things on the court and actually sometimes looks pretty good.

    13.1 ppg, 7.9rpg on 56% shooting.
    20.81 PER

He's not a starter in the league anymore, therefore he goes for backup price. No more than $5 million that's for sure.

    Probably MLE

    4-6 mill seems reasonable.

If it's a 1 year deal he may pull 8 mill, but any sort of extended contract is too risky to pay him more than 4-6.

He seems like one of those guys who might pass up a full MLE from a garbage team to take the tax apron MLE from a contender. I think that's about his range.

For a two year contract Amare is wroth 7-8 mil per year. For anything longer than that 5-6 mil per.

Yeah I wasn't trying to make any point with those PER36 stats, just wanted to share. No way is he a vet minimum kind of guy yet, yet some posters seem to think that way.

Stat is a cog on a contenders roster. Whatever that is worth. I have watched several Knicks games this season and he seems competitive. But his contract put the fear of god into the front offices around the league. I doubt we see that again.
