I remember someone calling Lowry a career backup. Not naming any names! :p

Yeah, I saw it live. He slipped and tore his groin. Was sad, because nobody touched him except the floor. I hope he gets better. The raptors are such a fun team to watch and he's a big part of there explosiveness, and I support them because of Lowry.

Now speaking of Lowry, I've seen quite a few games. What I've noticed about his game is that he TAKES control and DEMANDS the ball, it's probably because it's clear and established in the locker room that he is the leader, but even during games, you can see a Kobe-esque fire and drive in his body language and his verbal language. He wants to close out games and he wants to be the one to make his team better.

I would say his defense is pretty legit, above average. But I think his body control is awesome considering he's more of a hefty built. Lowry is never leaving Toronto unless something crazy happens.

His leadership might actually be his best quality. He's tough on others, but also tough on himself. He holds others responsible for their mistakes, but doesn't blame them. He just wants his team to win. Individual stats are irrelevant. Man is he good. Stats don't reflect half of what kind of player he is.

Emphasis on "this year". Dragic almost led bunch of nobodies with Bledsoe out for half a season into the playoffs in Western conference.

Lowry is in perfect position to flourish, Dragic is relegated to spot-up shoter at SG spot. So I'd say it's good you're not a talent evaluator either. Dragic would have the same numbers in Toronto as Lowry, if not slightly better and would only be slightly worse on defense.

Hah - that was me, and he was at that time...of course it was like a 2 year career.

He has gotten SOOO much better, and I really like watching him play.

    Good for him.

Are you slovenian by any chance? Because your bias towards Dragic is very transparent. He's not in the same league as Lowry.

I'm a Texan who considers Dragic to be in "the same league' as Lowry. You have as much bias as you are accusing him of having, in my opinion. The two players are in completely different situations. Get a clue, dude.

    Lowry Dragic
    FG% 45.4% 48.75
    3PT% 32.6% 37.1%
    FT% 80.8% 87.8%
    A 6.8 3.2
    Stls 1.3 1
    TO 2.1 1.7
    PPG 15.5 20.6

Umm..technically Lowry shouldn't even have the green light from 3pt land. Props to Lowry for his continued improvement and being the leader of a good team, but another tier? stop jerking off to Kyle Lowrys baby fat please

You guys are delusional. Dragic is good, but Lowry is a legit MVP candidate. Situation this, situation that, there's no denying Lowry is better.

For this team, its not even a question that lowry would be >>>>>>>>>>>> Melo.

Everything this summer and the rockets strategy just screams Les to me tbh. I know I pin it a lot on Daryl ,but the guy is into the analytical side, meaning he sees past the hype and values players beyond skill sets that they are "known for". It just doesn't make sense to me that Morey would forgo a realistic acquisition like Lowry for a small chance that an inefficient loser like Melo would join. Its been the same story with Les since he inherited a championship team.

Lowry has been clearly better than Dragic this season. And you have the PPG mixed up.

Oh come on, what a homer. Yes I'm a Slovenian, but we are generally much less biased than some of you here. "Let's trade NOP pick for Dragic!" etc.

If you want to keep the comparison fair, you have to compare this year's Lowry to last year's Dragic. Or do you want to say Marc Gasol, Curry and Harden are better than LeBron because he is having a down year? Because that's what you are implying when disregarding the circumstances.

implying Lin isn't better than both, he's just been getting screwed by "systems"

I take either Dragic or Lowry, they have the same impact to me, just peaking and slumping at different times, and both are highly dependent on teammates to succeed, especially Lowry. I mean Lowry was getting benched for Calderon at one point in Toronto, and wasn't doing so hot playing next to Rudy Gay.

People knee jerk too much on whose better between the two even though there's an argument for either. I personally think it's a wash and I would kill for either one to be back on the Rockets.

what facts, you are going to pull stats from like 20 games into the season to prove one player is clearly superior than the other?

Lowry didn't take some superman drug this summer and made him into a different player, Toronto simply got better and is finally gelling with the young up and coming talents they have, Lowry is a clear catalyst for that, but he didn't just become 10 times better over the summer.

To be honest, I think as Houston fans we all saw Dragic and Lowry perform at all star levels while they were in Houston in the same season, neither Dragic nor Lowry's performance right now should be a surprise.

Dragic has been really good last year, there's no denying it. But I can't compare this year's Lowry to last year's Dragic because that can't tell for a fact that Dragic is still as good as he was last year. For all we know last year might have been the peak of his basketball prime. What we do know however, is that Lowry is very, very good this year, in every aspect of the game and will most likely be an All-Star.

    Ehh,

The East is a disaster right now and Lowry is the guy on that team.

Dragic is in a terrible situation in Phoenix right now with the r****ded eight point guard system, but last year he was downright fantastic.

I think it comes down to team need. If we were to replace Harden with one of them, I would want Lowry. As a guy alongside Harden, I would want Dragic.
