    Pistons are terrible. Smith is overpaid and would be more suited at PF alongside Monroe. Jennings still too erratic to play PG.

    Drummond still makes beans through next year off rookie contract.

    Greg Monroe signed his tender and will be a UFA next season.

    They could be keen to accelerate the tanking process and restart.

    Restarting and trading Drummond would sort of be counter-intuitive IMO. I know he's struggled thus far in a sophomore slump, but all indications are that he's the future they should build around.

    I guess you could say the same for Monroe although he's a bit more of a finished product. Trading Drummond right now when you don't know what is going to happen with Monroe this offseason would probably be risky at best.

    I dunno what the answers are for the Pistons right now, but it should have started with "why the heck did we sign Josh Smith again?", followed by "Brandon Jennings.... holy crap what were we thinking?".
