The Rockets defensive rating is 0.3 points better with Dmo on the court vs Dmo off the court. Still scoffing. He's become a good defender, but not top anything.
I think his defense has always been decent. Its just that he always manages to get stupid ticky tack fouls called on him...some his fault, some totally bogus. He has been able to avoid those calls during this stretch of amazing games that he has strung together. I hope he keeps it up. Confidence is a powerful drug.
D-Mo has a few good games, and now everyone wants him to be the starter lmao. T Jones paid more dues.
The DMo is "hot garbage" idiots on here are the ones that deserve criticism....but they are cowardly and go into hiding waiting for the next victim they can slander. They pretty much ruin this forum for me. Sure glad we have a GM that has some patience and recognizes skills; unlike most of the posters here.
This is a terrible way of thinking IMO. It's not who 'pays more dues' that should start. It's the one who deserves it more at that current moment.
I honestly don't even care who starts at the 4. Just as long as the Rockets win, it really don't matter.
You are seeing the Dwight effect in those numbers. The most important stat is that with Howard injured the defense has not suffered. That is huge.

It'd be funny if the fans start to chant "MVP, MVP..." whenever DMo gets into the game. Okay, maybe not. Or Howard and Harden wouldn't invite him to meals.
He did foul a lot more, and then he went into a slump going into the playoffs prior to having some decent games. That hurt us a lot. I am really pleased to see him doing so well for us. Hope he will improve his free throwing, because opposing teams are going to start fouling him.
The interesting thing is that statistically fouling a 64% FT shooter is a losing proposition and every coach knows that. It yields 1.28 PPP which is about 0.4 PPP more than the league average PPP.
Who's this Asik guy you speak of and can he do a hook with both his left and right hand and make it look easy?
I can't believe I am saying it now, but I wouldn't trade for Dragic if D-Mo was involved in any trade package. Much easier to find a pg than a tall man with D-Mo's skills. Guy is just killing out there.
Exactly! At this point a trade for D-Mo had better bring back a Millsap or some other almost all star big player. PG is the easiest position in the NBA to find talent. Center is by far and away the most difficult. How many 7 foot, 250+ pound, under thirty coordinated people are on this earth? My guess would be a hundred at most.
This what I've noticed as well. He is moving laterally much better this season compared to last. He used to pick up cheap fouls all of the time trying to hedge screens. He is moving side to side better and staying in front of the hall handler rather than just getting in the way.
Well, the Rockets have walked into an Asik on offensive steroids. Who would have imagined that? Hint - me.
