I believe that Phoenix and Houston have had ongoing talks. I even believe that they have been close to or set on the parameters of the deal. I think there are a couple of things that may be holding it back. For one the inability to trade players that were signed in off season until December 15th. Is it really his fault? He's stayed away from this thread for awhile. We're the ones who go to his account and report back what he tweeted. I'm sure he's not the only one tweeting similar stuff out there. The bottom line is, we all want something to happen because we know this team has another level to reach to be a true contender. That's why people keep coming in here call out insiders and crack jokes. They are really checking in for the latest rumor. It's the Clutchfans version of a boy fighting with a girl he really likes. If so many people really wanted this thread to end, it would, just like any other thread.
On a positive note, since most of the info that Drew has shared has ultimately not been accurate, him saying that there is no deal is positive.

Out of curiosity, does anyone still support the idea that we should just stock up an depth and not bother with a potential 3rd star? As of right now, our bench when fully healthy is DMo, Papa, Canaan, Terry, and either Dorsey or Black(likely depend on matchups). I know earlier Doc tweeted something like DMo + Pelicans pick for Illyasova and John Henson. Is that the type of deals people want? Cause with the way we're playing now, assuming we can't get a star, I think the only true place where we can add depth is a backup wing. A Delfino type. Otherwise, we're as set as can be barring a major trade.
Honestly, our bench is looking very deep. These injuries have been a blessing in disguise giving DMo, Canaan, and Black valuable playing time to develop. With the recent emergence of DMo, Canaan, and Black IMO our bench is looking deepr than last year. Amazing how role players with a good attitude are better for chemistry than more talented players (Lin, Asik, Parsons) with big egos. We do not need a trade, just need time to get Dwight, Bev, and TJones healthy, and go to battle with the guys we have. Go Rockets!
That isn't true at all. I come in this thread to see what cyberx has to say. And in the process, I see people like Plowman spewing nonsense, and many here are hanging on his every word. Though skeptical, I supported him in the beginning. But once it became obvious that he's spewing nonsense and milking it for fun, I voiced my displeasure and will continue to do so.
