This game was over by the 3rd quarter. I believe it was 94-67 Rockets at the point. 4th was all garbage minutes by the benches.

I don't think so. I heard someone accused him of spanking a kid.

On a slightly more serious note, the Grizzlies will get no sympathy from me if Gasol or any other player has to miss time. Not with what we're dealing with here. If Gasol does have to sit out for a while though, Memphis is in trouble. They stunk last season when he didn't play.

The Grizzlies was blown out in three quarters and their coach didn't bother to put them back in in the 4th.

A statistical team rankings can't account for injuries. All they know is that against a weak schedule, the Rockets are posting a middling point margin and it's worse than it was early in the year. It's about the odds I'd give Houston in the West with no Howard, Jones or Beverley all year. It'll correct itself when those guys are back and we're killing teams by 20 again like early on.

Honestly, they need to modify these stats for garbage time, like we beat Memphis by 9, but in reality, the towel was in at 3 quarter time and 26 points

Missed the game but I would love to see a Nick Johnson highlight video. From the snippets I've seen, he looks pretty good as the backup point guard. Better passer than I thought, and can lead the fast break pretty well, rewarding the bigs who hustle down the floor.

I think Canaan is the better scorer and maybe the better player, but Johnson may be the better fit with the second unit.

Johnson needs some more time - at least in the D-league -- he has all the tools but hasnt fully adjusted to the NBA game and his role. He can be a Lowry-lite type of PG he has the athleticism to be a good defender (something he has shown in college) and a penetrator/rebounder for a guard. I do have higher than normal hopes for him, but just not for this season.

    lol

Johnson was not that sharp but he did play well with what situation he was thrown in. To me it looked like if we don't push him too hard and bring him in slowly he may be able to help out by the end of the year. He does have a great pedigree and I expect him to fit into this offense.

Rockets keep surprising me, never seen us play so well while having so many injuries, and there's been plenty of years to choose from!

    Very good win.

Not sure we can count on Black and Dorsey replicating their performance going forward, but any step up is going to be welcome. :)

We've had 2 good regular seasons already and this year is on track to be good as well. Once again the real measure will be the play offs.

You should watch the game and take a look at his stats. He's been terrible. When the Rockets get healthy, he need a couple months in the Dleague.

Damn. Was at the game but I got a wii bit too drunk and I don't even remember the 3rd quarter. My girlfriend is also pissed at me for some reason.

Yeah, the game was no where as close as the final score indicated.

Nah we can't do that. Remember he only gets lucky. Putting yourself in a situation for success counts as luck around here.
