Yall only respond to this with basketball talk, ok? We all know he only wants to talk basketball, and nothing else. Yep.
You forgot "act like a martyr" and post at least a couple hundred "I'm going to stop posting and you'll be sorry!" responses but then keep on posting.
I wonder how many posts in this thread are actual "insider" posts versus how many posts are "this is why you should not believe in santa claus" posts. My hypothesis is that for every 1 insider post there are an exponential number of doubter posts. Is there an easy way to analyze this? Basketballaholic, can you get on that? Would totally be a great selling point for your mailing list.
I actually don't care about the "insiders." I don't know that any of them are wrong and I enjoy people posting. The only thing that bothers me is that later on down the line these "rumors" get used as ways to attack the front office or players or other posters. If we get lit up in the playoffs and Patrick Beverly gets hurt, you will have posters going nuts that we didn't pull the trigger on that Dragic trade the insiders told us about.
Regardless of the rumor's legitimacy, it's a damn shame if this guy's source is Clutchfans. Hell, I can be a Rockets reporter and writer if that's all it takes.
No, I can't. I've reached my self-imposed quota of 1 non-basketball post for the day. To everyone else, I'm changing my signature. Going to remove Enes Kanter from my list of trade possibilities since DMo has come on here and really shown me something. Trading for Kanter at this point would be, at best, a sideways move. So, I'm taking him out. I did add Brooks Lopez since I think there is the possibility that the Nets break it all down and get out of the luxury tax in hopes of selling the team when they realize they aren't winning anything this season. Lopez may go on the market cheap.
That's totally fair... Reactionary posters who aren't very rational are irksome. But its those posters who are the problem, not the "insiders". Although, to your earlier point, it's pretty reasonable to guess that Morey has multiple balls in the air because (1) we know that he's more of an aggressive GM in general, (2) we know that he views the NOLA pick as a valuable trade asset, (3) he's made statements intimating that this team will look different come playoff time. If it's reasonable to guess that Morey is likely working trades, isn't it also reasonable to be disappointed if he isn't able to improve the team like he says he wants to?

I am not reporting anything about a trade. ZERO. Answering a question. We ALL (insiders and outsiders and hoops junkies) know why moves are possible this month. But NO - NOT hearing anything. Clarified after tweet. Yes there are reasons to think THIS month they could be aggressive, but no haven't heard a thing about WEDNESDAY. regards
Every significant trade Morey has made (KMart, Harden, Artest, etc) has been out of the blue for a player we had no idea he was coveting. Just saying..
