Here's my roster for further analysis: (slow day at work) Russell Wilson, Sea QB Frank Gore, SF RB Justin Forsett, Bal RB Emmanuel Sanders, Den WR Randall Cobb, GB WR Jimmy Graham, NO TE Daniel Herron, Ind RB Rams D/ST Nick Novak, SD K Bench Ben Tate, Min RB Bench Branden Oliver, SD RB Bench Martavis Bryant, Pit WR Bench Denard Robinson, Jac RB Bench Jerick McKinnon, Min RB Bench LeGarrette Blount, NE RB Bench Ryan Tannehill, Mia QB pretty weak at RB2 and Flex so was going to move Herron into RB2 and start Stills at Flex (other options aren't that great).
pretty solid team: Here's my roster from another league that im in (No. 1 seed 10-3 record): Matthew Stafford, Det QB Justin Forsett, Bal RB C.J. Anderson, Den RB Demaryius Thomas, Den WR Jordan Matthews, Phi WR Larry Donnell, NYG TE Jamaal Charles, KC RB Lions D/ST Matt Bryant, Atl K Bench Knile Davis, KC RB Bench Ryan Mathews, SD RB Bench Martavis Bryant, Pit WR Bench Alfred Blue, Hou RB Bench Daniel Herron, Ind RB Bench Packers D/ST Traded my second and fourth rounders for the No. 1 overall pick and took Jamaal Charles. Picked up Demaryius with the tenth pick of the draft. Added Forsett and C.J. Anderson through waiver claims (think I had the first waiver spot for both). Picked up Mathews after someone dropped him when he was hurt. Recently added Herron via free agency once Bradshaw went down.
Yeah I just need him to get me a solid 10 points or so. Surprised he's still out there in both of my leagues.
So I made the playoffs in both of my leagues. Revisiting this trade: Which a few of you said was terrible for me, the players I received outscored the players I traded away 166-140. Green & Jennings both got injured a week after the trade & both missed around 3-4 games... but Sanders completely destroyed for me which is what I predicted & it was a big reason why I did the trade in the first place. Anyway
Looking at your team, I probably would try to get Stills. And I would also look to add those "premium handcuffs" you mentioned, by dropping Ben Tate and Brandon Oliver.
If you go on to lose in your league and Green and Bell go off (like they did this past week), then will you still feel the need to boast? Because at some point you have to value playoff production over regular season production. And I know hindsight is always 20-20, but I still stand by my original stance, that it wasn't a good trade for you.
Lol at ease man I'm just messing around, not boasting. I also stand by my original stance which was that it was a fairly even trade, which is what it is up to this point.
Sorry if I came off "on edge", I was just thinking about another.certain someone who took pleasure in announcing their correct picks and not their losses. But yeah, me and a buddy of mine were having a good convo about this. Who's the.better player, the.one who scores the most and is healthy during the regular season (ie Antonio Brown) or the guy who was hurt, but scores the.most in the playoffs (ie Calvin Johnson). Obviously it depends on your team, but interesting nonetheless....
You gotta make the playoffs for it to matter. You're not winning it unless you have guys who perform well in the playoffs. The score starts out at zero-zero for both teams. I always keep bench spots for injured/suspended guys who will come back and produce. It's the best use of a roster spot IMO. Last season I kept Percy Harvin on the bench all season and it did not pan out. This year I kept Josh Gordon all year and so far it looks like it will pan out.
Johnny Manziel looks to be this week's starter (at home) vs. Colts. Any predictions as to his performance? I'm very inconsistent at QB (Cutler vs. Dallas & Fitz @ Jax) and thinking of taking a flier on him this week.
I'd go with Fitz @ Jax. He should get around 12-15 points IMO, much safer, and you never know he could be on a hot streak after the Titans game. Jordan Matthews vs. Seattle or Kelvin Benjamin vs. New Orleans? I don't trust Cam and the Panthers offense, but Seattle's defense has been spectacular recently.
Yep. I just took care of all three things this morning (early). My claim for Stills went through and I dumped Tate and Oliver early this morning for Randle and Davis. Here's my line-up now going into the playoffs: QB Russell Wilson, Sea RB Justin Forsett, Bal RB Daniel Herron, Ind WR Emmanuel Sanders, Den WR Randall Cobb, GB TE Jimmy Graham, NO FLEX Kenny Stills, NO D/ST Rams K Nick Novak, SD Bench Frank Gore, SF Bench Denard Robinson, Jac Bench Jerick McKinnon, Min Bench LeGarrette Blount, NE Bench Ryan Tannehill, Mia Bench Joseph Randle, Dal Bench Knile Davis, KC
I was like ---> lol... Anyway. I got Lynch, Isaiah Crowell, Boom, and Tre (I have Ellington as well but I'm not touching him). Need another RB to start with Lynch... Right now I'm leaning on running with Crow especially if JFF gets the start. What do you guys think...?
Would any of you guys consider starting Josh Gordon over any of these 3? PPR league. Emmanuel Sanders Antonio Brown Calvin Johnson I feel like I'd be crazy to replace them in my starting lineup with anyone from my bench. Thoughts...
Thanks. I'd stay away from Seahawks secondary right now. They rank 1st against QBs and 1st against WRs. Meanwhile, most WRs are having season highs against the Saints (they rank 26th against QBs and 29th against WRs).
Man all four of those guys are solid. My friend has the same dilemma in our league. He has Gordon, Antonio, ODB and Alshon Jeffrey. He sat Jeffrey last week when he caught two TDs. As for those four I'd be hard pressed to sit Sanders, Brown or Megatron. Gordon looked human last game and the Browns are sticking with Hoyer (not that Manziel is any better). Still a close call though.
You got what is called "Rich People's Problems"... I was going to bench Jordy last week for Tre Mason and changed my mind at the last minute and didn't. So it's not crazy... Especially considering it's Josh (and not some scrub) _ and especially if Davis is out for Indy and the Browns may have to throw to keep up.
