I welcome any big man who goes up strong and jams it. That dunk he had in Santa Clara, he jumped flat footed from the dotted circle and jammed it on some guy. That is sick! Capela has triple double potential given he plays the certain amount of minutes.
not against ZBO.. but, Papa can hold his own against a lot of 4's. if CC would get some burn I would be OK with this, but we all know McHale will keep him benched (rightfully - the guy is not ready). hopefully this ridiculousness will only last a few days and he will be back in RGV - where he belongs.
**** benching Capella when you are trotting out trash like Dorsey and even Black. I understand they are thicker but that is about it.
ok against 5s then Pap cant play there. nobody on the squad can defend marc gasol. black. no. Dorsey. no. dmo possibly. another body to hack gasol.
he has to see some burn. who cares what happens we're playing the grizzlies without 3 starters and a possible 6th man. see how raw he really is, we need a backup center badly
Capela may see minutes. Depending on how practices go. If he is an absolute disaster in practice do not expect to see him out there.
It's not like it's permanent. We'll be shuttling him back and forth and he will see most of his minutes in the D-League. He and Johnson are only active because we're down a few guys.
You say that. But wait until he actually gets in the game and gets absolutely manhandled by Memphis bigs. What Dorsey and Black have at the very least is NBA strength. Sure they're still going to get owned, but Capela is going to get smashed. Unless Capela has decent defensive footwork like D-Mo, he's going to get embarrassed out there. That being said, who knows. Maybe he's a freak of nature like Ibaka and we see a crazy game out of him.
Who was that player that we constantly sent back and forth to the D-League like a yo-yo? We must have sent him down at least three times. Was it Scott Machado? In any case, we call guys up if there is time to practice with the squad. A call up doesn't mean a guy will get minutes, nor that he won't get sent back down in short order. The Lakers once had Jordan Farmer play a D-League game in the morning and then suit up for the Lakers game that night.
He definitely cant throw up as many bricks as our construction extraordinaire duo of black and dorsey.
