That's really the issue here. I hate extreme Lin fans as much as the next guy, but because I still like him and root for him (not over the rockets!) somehow I, and people like me, are given a label, like I'm a basement dwelling LOF. It's kind of the reason this keeps going on, because all it takes is for one Lin nut or 10 year old like zyt to start spewing irrational and inflammatory stuff, and now suddenly even the most moderate Lin supporter is grouped in with him. I don't understand how liking Lin is like belonging to the GOP. Maybe being an LOF is like being a GOP. Like they all are Christians and have this ideology or something that Lin is Chris Paul. But rooting for the guy and not being deluded about who he is is completely different. Btw, I'm fully aware that this happens in the reverse. I.e., someone that hates Lin says something racist, and now LOF's think all Lin haters are racist. Then they start spewing junk and the thread becomes toxic. I try to avoid generalizing and assigning labels like "LOH's" though. For example, just because King1 stalks people's social media doesn't mean I think you do too. Tinman's also pretty funny, but I am certain a good portion of his disdain for Lin is really just misattributed hatred for extreme LOF's

Oops I just realized that it was a contradiction to say I don't assign labels but then using the term LOF. I guess it's more accurate to say I group people by finer gradations? I'm not really sure how to properly express that lol Thank you for realizing that Lin supporters are not a monolith Admittedly, extreme LOF's did most of the damage in ruining people's perception of people who support Lin. So they are mostly to blame. But most of them are gone from this thread, it's now the people who were previously scarred by LOF's that keep that label alive (in addition to the sporadic LOF trolls that show up). PS. krnxsnoopy is a bit ... passionate in his posts, but in his defense, a small part of your previous posts was kind of racial (I wouldn't call it racist, but racial). Direct your vitriol at the Lin fanatics and extremists, but keep race out of this, or the never-ending cycle of in this flame war will never end
