Clint Capela to RGV Vipers

Ohlbrecht averaged 7.0 reb in 23.7 min/game in 2014. He also average 7.4 reb in 26.6 min/game in 2013.

 

playing Memphis tomorrow is a big reason he was called up. We are playing two big men that will give us allot of foul trouble and tire our big men trying to defend them. Adding another big man is a plus for us so we can give the others an extra breather. That should translate to a better defensive effort for the team.

If he doesn't play scared, it will be a plus point.

 

Talk about trial by fire. He's going to get a real NBA lesson with Gasol and Zbo.

 

I'm not gonna lie. I'm really excited about a possible future bench pairing of DMO and Capela. Think of the potential of this lineup:

DMO
Capela

 

I'd like to see what Capela can do to affect Z-Bo. Z-Bo causes problems with his 7'5" wingspan.

Capela also has a 7'-5" wingspan plus 2 inches in height.

Body-wise, he's kinda like LaMarcus Aldridge:

LA - 6'-11" w/shoes, 7'5" wingspan, 240lbs
CC - 6'-11" w/shoes, 7'5" wingspan, 220lbs

I don't really think Capela will get meaningful minutes unless something bad happens.

Z-Bo's ass would take him out of the court.

What he needs to do in his situation since he is not yet NBA weight is to play the charge. Zbo is going to put his whole weight and shoulder into Capela. He may be able to use that to get some calls. Griffin and Dirk use it to their advantage all the time, so why not Clint.

 

Capela's going to have to learn to "drop that ass" :grin:

 

If Capela does play we are going to quickly find out how strong and agile he is. Marc versus Capela. He could end up being a dark stain on the court. But, by god, I hope he does great.
