Thanks for the clip, Tinman! It was great to see those legendary Rockets in action again. I really liked Albert's comment about Bull being a deadly downtown shooter "despite his 6-10 frame". 20 years later, 7fters hitting 3s is the norm.

other than Olajuwon's quickness, which still astounds 20 years later, a few other things stand out: those knicks teams really relied on Starks to take the pressure off Ewing, and it ultimately cost them 6 months later. i'd forgotten about Doc.

also, forgotten about Brooks role early that season, and the only view of Cassell is cheering from the bench.

    thanks for posting this Tin.

Haha I was about to post the same thing. This is before Sam Cassell stole Scottie Brooks' job.

MadMax is sooo underrated by many folks outside our clan.

sam i am had his big debut at SA a few weeks later.

first thing i notice watching this was how solid our depth was that season.

Rivers' injury paved the way for Harper to eat Smith up in the Finals making it a 7-gamer.

Enjoyed the highlights, the NYKnixies highlights!

And under appreciated post-Utah '95 here, too. Oh, well. Also gotta have some love for Mad Max (who hit my single fav shot of ALL TIME!!!).

Yeah, xiki. When fockassed, that mercurial nature would combine with his otherworldly athleticism/basketball skills and ...voila, Vernon would be one of the two best players on the court.

When MadMax was short circuiting....nobody knew what the Hell was going to happen next.

I was impressed by Horry's post feed in the first minute of the video. Been a LONG time since I've seen a post feed threaded like that.

92-93, the season I first became a Rockets fan. It spoiled me forever.

my memories of this time are so vivid since I was only 3 but I remember my dad would have watch parties in our apartment back then for pretty much all the games, such good times. Wish I had some recollection of watching The Dream and that squad actually play but nonetheless awesome era!

I pictured you looking completely different, Tinman. Not at all like Samwise...how do you like your taters?
