rubbish, all Daniels can do is shoot and nothing else when his shot isn't falling, he hasn't got anything else to fall back on and stop blaming the coach. Players have to be ready to hit shots any time they are put in the game
The real infatuation with Daniels is his shooting against the Blazers in the playoffs last year. Yes he can shoot, but he's a defensive liability that can't run a team. He needs a couple more years in RGV before he can really contribute overall.
In case you haven't noticed our entire offense is basically Harden iso and kick it out to open 3 point shooters. I think it would serve us well to have our best three point shooter out there. Also, I do think Daniels is a better defender than most believe. The few minutes i've seen him out there this season he was holding his own.
Wow, I didn't realize Helsip was actually the guy who was a huge contributor in the play offs for us. Who would have thought.
That's a convenient sentiment, but the reality is in almost every athletic sport players are more consistent when they are in rhythm. That's why every sport has warm-ups and some equivalent to basketball shootarounds. So is not surprising that someone who was continuing to shoot 40% from behind the arc in the preseason grind suddenly went cold when regulated to a handful of late 4th quarter garbage minutes a few times a week. It is also not surprising those who were struggling to be consistent suddenly became so with more burn and bigger roles.
Terry will be gone either by the deadline or in the offseason. If Daniels is still around i expect him to fill that void.
So Troy Daniels can hit game winning threes in the NBA playoffs and yet we've already dismissed him as an NBA contributor because McFail doesn't play him? Probably not a good idea.
McFail???? You are obviously fixated on that, and cannot distinguish between fact and reality. McHale is excellent at developing young talent. Parsons, Canaan, Jones, D-Mo. When the youngsters deserve the burn they will get it. And "McFail" is so yesterday. With the Rockets elite defense and 13-4 record despite losing 30+ starters games this season, it should never be used. Please connect with reality. I haven't seen that term used by anyone but you in weeks.
This guy was cut from the Timberwolves training camp. Yes, the freaking Twolves. While our other summer league player : 3 pt shooter Dawkins, made the Heat final cut.
