My impression is that Beverley had several injures since he joined the rockets. Can he stay away from injures for a year or two? I am not sure.

Bev is too unreliable to have as a starting PG on what we hope is a contender. Last year, he had the pectoral injury, broken hand, and injured knee. Now already this season, he's missed most of the games with an injured hamstring. Something tells me Morey will be looking to upgrade at that position between now and July 1, 2015.

Yes, agree with you totally, your starting PG could be out of the line at any time, how can you complete for a NBA title?

So I guess we need to go on ahead and prepare for Memphis handing us our ass....again.

(true confession: I hope I just cursed the Griz)

Why is the organization being so hush-hush about these injuries? Why have they not at least given a ballpark timetable as for when we can expect these players to be back in the lineup? Where the hell is Jones and why is he not at the games supporting the team, even if it's in street clothes?

This day to day B.S with Dwight is starting to remind of T-Mac all over again. Hey bro, if the Doc clears you to play then you need to man up and put your jersey on and get out there and play. Every player has to play through injuries, that's why you get paid millions of dollars. This isn't little league.

As fans we deserve to know what to expect, If I want to buy a ticket package I will want to know whether these guys will be playing first.

Jones is getting rehab..no point in traveling with the team.

Ok, that's the first I've heard anything about Jones. So, he's getting rehab that's good, so when can we expect him back in the lineup? January? Febuary? Next season?

It's a nerve issue. Not something you can exactly predict. I can get suspicious about things as much as anyone else, but i don't think sny of these injuries are something you can really put a date on. you see what happened with Bev...they put a date on it twice and twice he tweaked it again. there's probably no sense of urgency, at least for now, given the team's record.

Yeah, I had a nerve issue before. Jones could be back tomorrow, he could be back next year (worst case, which I doubt). They're that unpredictable.

Bro, Dwight has got to think about his long term health... he is gonna have a lot of important graduations and business meetings to go to after he retires...

DH's knee thing seems like a phantom injury if I've ever seen one. So aggravating seeing him miss game after game, and then all you get from the updates is basically that "His knee still hurts." Same with Jones, though it's much more understandable with his nerve issue.

As for Bev, he obviously needs to dial back his game some. His body is continuously telling him that. When's he going to listen? And if/when he dials back the intensity, will he still be good enough to contribute at the level that this team needs? Morey has holes to fill all over the place and I'm very interested in seeing what he can make happen.

The Rockets are 13-4. With starters missing 30++ games total. There is no urgency to rush the players back from their injuries. It is not the playoffs. They are rightfully going to be cautious. Especially with Howard.

I get that. But there's a difference between 13-4 and on the uptick, and an overachieving 13-4. I understand that the goal is to be playing your best ball come April, but it would be nice to be playing your best ball AND contending for a top two seed as well. And that just isn't going to happen when your lone legitimate big man is out for weeks at a time.

Teams at the top of the playoff bracket consistently make it out of the first round and beyond. Not those in the middle and at the bottom. Injuries just suck...

Winz iz Winz. Keep resting him. Can't wait to have a fresh Dhow in the hoffs. McHale must have realized our regular season identity is run and gun, which often runs smoother with Howard out, and our hoffs identity is to post Howie.

Some of you are saying we "need him back" for tomorrow's game. Do you think Memphis is really the best opponent to return from an injury for? Against Memphy he will be under huge pressure both offensively and defensively. I would rather he come back Fri. vs Minnesota.

Strong disagree. First off, I think the Rockets are just being super safe right now and letting guys get 100% for the 2nd half of the season. Second, Bev's the best defensive PG in the league. With him hitting his 3's, I'm not sure we're upgrading if we're not getting CP3, WB or T.Parker..Not saying Bev's in that class, but for what we need at that position he's perfect. If Morey does trade him it will set this team another 2-3 years. A healthy Bev will allow us to at the least contain the west's top tier PG's
