You'd think they'd ask him to stay home and not be the primary cheerleader on the bench, if it were a matter of disassociating. ETA: Traveling to Minnesota, dressing, shooting around -- that seems a bit much for someone they want to distance themselves from.
I have NO inside info on this personally.. NOTHING. I am telling you what others have speculated outside
Dwight has a legit knee issue. There is zero question that Dwight has questionable women issues that have plagued him his entire career...yes he makes terrible choices with money grubbing trash...That being said, the Georgia PD will reach the same conclusion as the DCF in Florida did. The child abuse thing is totally bogus BS initiated by women that he has cut financial ties with. Using his kids to trash his fragile public image.
He wasn't on the bench for the very first game he missed (Lakers). I thought that was really odd, given that he was at the arena pre-game, dressed in a suit, and participated in warmups. I definitely wondered if the investigation had something to do with it at that point. He's been on the bench every game since and traveled w/ the team over the weekend, even though he was listed as doubtful to play. A player or two and a few media outlets are saying he might be back on Wednesday for Memphis. So I dunno....
Sterling was removed after a vote by the owners. That is something the NBA can do since it is written in the bylaws. If they were to suspend Howard without any evidence of wrong doing the players union would be howling. And suing.
Look i believe clutch and hopefully i don't get flamed for this Because i mean no harm. But you don't think clutch would do a favor for the rockets? Maybe it's my conspiracy side, but i could easily see clutch covering for the rockets and saying it is a legit knee issue. I would do it in a heartbeat. I love the rockets same as he would. I would lie to benefit my team. Again I'm not saying i believe he is lying, and i mean not to discredit our slander clutch, because i believe him.... i believe him before cyber, and i don't he's lying. Just saying, you never know.
Yes, he's been there on the bench for several games. There was that shot of him reacting to Joey Dorsey's failed dunk attempt last week. And he was at the game in Milwaukee dressed in a ridiculous looking blue suit. You know your attire is crazy when even Calvin Murphy is calling you out. I don't really think the Rockets or the NBA suspended him during the last 6 games. Hence why I referred to my inner Oliver Stone. It's just that the way this injury is being reported seems so bizarre. Usually there's some sort of diagnosis and prognosis provided by the team. With Dwight, we've been given very little until that interview he did with Bill and Bull. And it didn't help matters that he was an unexpected late scratch from the Lakers game(the first one he missed due to the knee) and McHale afterwards wouldn't make any comment on it to the press when asked about it.
It appears that Howard has a legitimate knee injury. Clutch was very stern in his comments about Howard's injury. Having said that, it doesn't change the fact that if there is any validity to the Howard abuse allegations, he will be missing time. The NBA front office is very politically correct and liberal.
No one has been suspended, nor am I suggesting that. I will repeat.. Just have some people around my circles speculating. Honestly, that is all.
Teams don't release the whole scope of injuries because other teams can take advantage of that type of knowledge. I'm not saying other teams will try to hurt Dwight, but a complete understanding of his injury would give opponents the extent of his ability
Maybe people are spreading gossip to try to pressure Dwight back into the lineup. Whoops. There goes Oliver Stone again. I have to stop doing that. On a slightly more serious note, assuming this injury is legit, maybe part of the reason Dwight seems always on the verge of coming back(i.e. doubtful, traveling with the team, game-time decision) but is still being held out is cuz the rest of the guys are holding down the fort in his absence. So why rush it? Something tells me if they were 10-7 instead of 13-4, he might've been back in the lineup already.
You made it clear.... You are not saying Howard has been suspended You are not saying Howard isn't really hurt You are only passing along that you have HEARD from some people involved in the industry that they WONDER if Howard will eventually be suspended.
Can we go back to talking about Dragic? Hey Jr Smith only played 5 mins yesterday, whats that all about??
Players association would loose their s**t over an "unofficial suspension", especially since it would presumably occur without the normal mechanisms to protect the player, like the appeal process. Unless Dwight is just racked with guilt and is actively participating in the conspiracy to keep it from the players association, I have a hard time believing something like that would happen without the PA raising a stink, and if it got out, it would seriously damage league credibility. Plus lawsuit exposure, for breaking the CBA... Risk involved seems prohibitive, relative to benifits.. 1000x less dangerous to just suspend him outright. Dwight isn't MJ. He couldn't take down the entire league singlehandedly.
Howard missed an earlier game before this stretch of missed games - and for the same reason. His knees. When he came back he had the knee pads on to protect them. As for the LA Game (the 1st he missed in this stretch) wasn't there comments from someone at the game that he warmed up, but then ruled himself out and was riding an exercise bike out the back. He's been on the bench every game since. If he was suspended (as some are suggesting) SURELY the league would say something as a deterrent to others and to let people know the Administration are the BOSS. It wouldn't be kept quiet.
