Moses Malone was an amazing player- one of the best to ever play for the Rockets.

The problem that you run into with him is that he only spent a small part of his career for us, so he is not like a completely Houston guy, you know?

Moses played in the NBA from the 1974-1975 season all the way until the 1994-1995 season. Out of those, only 6 years were spent in Houston. He went on to have great years including an MVP and a championship with Philadelphia.

There's no denying that, even with the limited time he spent on the Rockets, he was one of the best Rockets players we have ever had. There is no denying that Moses was a better player than Hakeem or Yao or Ralph or Calvin or Rudy T. But those guys spent all or most of their careers playing for Houston.

I'm not saying that disqualifies Moses. But if we are talking about "Mt Rushmore's" and "All-Time Houston greats" I would be reluctant to rate Moses as high as he should be due to the his limited time for the Rockets.

Harden will have to play 10 more years and keep producing at this rate to earn a spot near Hakeem.

This lineup started the fourth quarter.

    Terry, Garcia, D-Mo, Papanikolaou, Ariza

Some people might call them scrubs. But another way to look at it is they all have either national-team or championship experience, and they all are team players. These kind of qualities are allowing relatively no-name players to help win games.

I think the wait until the playoffs talk is irrelevant. Yao and TMac both had great playoffs but its not like they had anything to show for it. Harden SHOULD be in the tier with Moses, Murph, Dream, Yao category. The man is taking over this team, this is his team, don't care if it's just November we are witnessing something really special and I think we should just embrace it.

He beat San Antonio alone with OKC in the semifinals. But in the finals he had again one of his lows. We'll see

Do you remember him draining his knee to take the floor against the Jazz? Do you remember how he couldn't jump over a phonebook after that?

Tmac did some dumb **** but everyone does dumb ****.

Before placing someone atop the rockets mt Rushmore, you must ask yourself:

"If this person was traded tomorrow, would they still belong there?"

Can you say yes to harden?

Hakeem was the best player on a finals team that was set up to be a dynasty. To me, sounds like he could do it since his second year. Kind of unfair to compare Harden to him; I agree.

I am going to say small sample size :)
We need to see if Harden can sustain this over the full course of the season, including playoffs.

    Timing really matters:

I cannot: it hasn't been long enough, and has not accomplished a positive playoff performance to note.

Well he spent more time with the Rockets than any other team... seems like that would make him a Rocket

I simply cannot believe we got a player of this caliber for peanuts in his prime.

Way too early to put Harden up there with Rockets great or in the same sentence. As Hakeem.

I hope so though, I hope Harden is greater than Hakeem. Hakeem won 2 championships, I hope Harden wins 3+
