3 days off so maybe bev and canaan can come back. i wouldnt count out dwight. ease him back into the rotation. 15-20minutes of dwight, 15-20 minutes of black/dorsey. he should be able to play through some pain
1.)Stretch 4 that can consistently knock down the 3 ball (Yes, if you want dwight on your team this is a must. No way around it.) 2.) Upgrade at PG. Love Bev, but we need a Lowry or Dragic type of player. 3.) Depth at the bench. We need to expand our rotation and have guys (like Terry) we can trust to come in and shoulder the load. I'm not going to b**** about coaching, it will be made clear as day during the PO.
It's a sprain ankle, as long as it's not too painful and he can't make it worse my guess is he'll play. I would not be surprised if he's back next week during any of the game. It is Howard I'm worried about, any injury having to do with a players knees I want no part of.
its early in the season and we're coasting. Even if we lose games like the LAC one, its worth letting Dwight rest. page right out of the spurs book...
the league would have to grant the rockets an extra $30 million cap exception to complete this fantasy team you speak of.
Rockets need to get healthy and see how the pieces fit before we can determine what we need and what we don't. If Jones is finished for the season which I'm starting to think he is, then we need to decide if a front court combo of Dwight/D-Mo/Dorsey/Black is good enough to win us a championship. Personally, I don't think it is. It might not even be good enough if we had a healthy T-Jones to add to it. We need another big if we want to win against teams like healthy OKC, Grizz, Clippers, Portland. We can't have Dwight going for 38 mins a game, will not work. More importantly we need a big that can shoot FT's, which is why Kaman would have been a good fit here. None of our bigs shoot FT's well, at all. For all of the fans clamoring about upgrading our point guard, I think a combo plate of Bev and Canaan is good enough to take us all the way. The need for a PG is not as dire as our need for a better frontcourt.
That of course would be optimal. There just aren't that many 6-10+ guys out there that can hit the trey at 35%+. And they tend to be very expensive unless they can't play defense.
They waived him, they signed Cherry (and cut him) and claimed off the waivers AJ again  right ?
Spencer Hawes (isn't getting too many minutes at LAC, they're loaded though..) would have been great. I'm still on the Illysova boat, I think he could really prosper here. He's not as bad as he has been playing. Ryan Anderson would have been optimal though. Or we could work on TJ's mechanics, because as of now, the guy isn't reliable enough from 3.
You have to give up something to get something in trades. We don't have jack that is that valuable IMO. And I would be very disappointed if we ever went after Ryan Anderson. He REALLY sucks at defense.
