If you take 3 starters off of any team with one of them being a star player you are going to struggle.

We are now suddenly asking a lot out of players like Dorsey who if the team is healthy would probably not not see the court at all. People are being way too harsh on this team.

I heard Steve smith in the same segment say that the Spurs are the best team in Texas and they have a good record for a team missing PATTY MILLS and TIAGO SPLITTER. Meanwhile goes on to say Dallas is the 2nd best team in Texas and then says he doesn't know about Houston yet...what? really? So the Spurs missing Patty Mills and Tiago Splitter is more impressive than the Rockets missing Beverly, Jones, Canaan and oh...Dwight Howard? The Spurs winning with those guys out is more...

Forget it. But the team has to overcome a lot. Even if Morey does bring help, you can't have depth if the players playing the lionshare of minutes gets hurt. The reason guys are on the bench is because they play well in spurts and not for long periods.

You bring back our injuried players and suddenly Canaan (if Mchale is smart) is playing reasonable minutes and bringing a spark off the bench along with Dmo...and Black's minutes would get sliced pretty hard. With Howard playing Harden gets more of a rest...etc etc

It's hard to replace these guys, making some bandaid of a move for another depth player will not replace starters in the league.

especially when the '3rd star' is a borderline Allstar starter, Allstar reserve at best (Millsap)

Harden plays almost 38 minutes... in an almost blowout loss. Not a good sign of things to come.

I'm sure this is an ongoing philosophical discussion in the front office. All in or wait?

Nothing is guaranteed, as these injuries show us. I would go for depth that fits now rather than later. A good playoff run is more attractive to free agents.

I agree with you. Rockets should look for solid players on a 2 or 3 year contract.
2016 seems more important than 2015 to me.

The only reason to maintain flexibility for 2015 is for someone like Dragic. Love and Aldridge ain't coming here, and I don't know anyone else available out there who's good enough to be considered a 3rd star(at least by Morey's standards). Millsap is a solid player, but he ain't a star.

Would love to see the Clippers face the Rockets in the playoffs. It will be a massacre. Clips in 5.

You have no idea if they will or not as they don't really. Let's let the season sort itself out. The Rockets are an elite team and 1 player from being the faves to win it all. Many stars have to be looking at getting onto this rocket.

And coaching moved Dmo away from the basket later on. It was to try and accommodate for Black or Dorsey on Jordan and Jordan had an unusual bad game against us this time. Overall it was an encouraging game to watch for me as I saw nothing special with the Clips. We have Howard and Bev we win this game.
