McHale was the architect. That is his job. And he also was in charge of implementing it. That is his job. There is a reason he is called head coach.

Just goes to show you we fans really have no way of knowing how much assistants contribute (unless they get hired away and you have a noticable drop off -- I'd argue Tom Thibodeau and Mike Malone are good examples of this).

Really, I only received one 4 day ban - for language. See the sig. Sheer mass lemming stupidity was what I was faced with. I rarely call other people names, and only in retaliation. LMA was allowed to push off with his off hand on every single possession during our series. This is not legal, but refs let it go. Not adjusting to something that's not part of the game is on management (see Mavs sending tape to the league), not the coach. A coach that acts as GM would be the only exception for me. Our defensive coach was basically fired towards the end of the year. Yes, McHale should have immediately taken responsibility for this, but that requires time to implement. Fact is, this improved pretty quickly with McHale taking charge. Fiction: McHale is a bad coach.
Pretty much. McHale will somehow always get the job done. Maybe not optimally, but he is human. Somehow it seems like people expect McHale to be omnipotent. I just do not understand fan expectations at times. There are few individuals, only the least perceptive and most stubborn fans, on the fire McHale thread. Even FTW, bless his bitter little heart, has given it up.
I just want people to bring data and serious information. I will never ever be swayed by others opinion. I do the work. I spend hours and hours researching topics, much like you I would expect, before I weigh in on a topic. Peoples oh so valuable opinions matter naught to me.
