You should delete that, as should the quoters ASAP.

    How is Clowney's knee arthritic?

    That doesn't sound right.

It really doesn't, this was supposed to have been his first knee injury. Unless there were hidden knee injuries in the past, it's kind of hard to believe.

I sure am glad that this is the guy they deemed worthy of the first overall pick. We all knew that Smith sucks at the draft, but damn.

Sammy Watkins may be Durant, too.

The same doctor described the two possible approaches to his injury: one (repairing the tear) would shut him down for the full year, but would be the best approach long term. The other (cutting the ligament) would allow him to play after six weeks, but would likely cause long term problems. We know the team took the latter approach. And we are seeing the long term problems already.

It's impossible to have a worst draft class. a lot of guys here wanted Barr before we were even given the #1 pick. I didn't know much about him. But the guy is a play wrecker for the Vikings.

Well on a positive note, before the draft people were wondering how can the Texans afford both Watt + the clown when the clown's contract is up for extension. That won't be an issue anymore. This could be the biggest number 1 bust in NFL history. At least Jamarcus Russell played in a few games and tossed a touchdown here or there.

What I got from that talk was that the long term problems could happen later in his career, not later in the year. I don't know any team that would take that scenario.

Please just shut him down...the season is lost the last thing they need to do is ruin his chances of long term health by continuing to put him out there.

I've stated so many times before...this dude...deserves to be put on the IR. If he really has an injury...just go take care of it. Just dont put the organization on limbo for missing practice time extra. The only way you are gonna play is if you practice. If you can not...you will not play on sunday. Bill O'Brien, dont hesitate...just IR him already.

Personally I thought it was a mistake trying to limit his PT during the preseason. The Texans were overly concerned about him getting hurt and limited his play snaps during the preseason. He was a rookie, regardless on whether he was the #1 pick or not. He needs to get NFL reps in order to become a better player. Everyone on this level has talent, but people with desire to be great become players the league endorses (ie. JJ Watt).

There is no cutting of the ligament. It's the removal of the torn cartilage. The long term effect would be increased arthritis/inevitable knee replacement later in life. No way are we seeing long term effects already. Lol.

Source: I had the exact procedure, and have worked in hospitals with orthopedic doctors for 8 years or so.

Why didn't you do the long term procedure?

Went 2-14, and the Texans have crap to show for it. :(

Except for dumping Kubiak and Schaub. :)

    So it's a wash, I guess.

Obrian says not shutting down for the season, Vandy says out for Sunday.

This is looking more and more like a Clowney thing than a diagnosable thing.
