From what I've heard, in practice, Swoopes is considered the "passing QB". Heard is supposedly that bad. I'm really hoping we target a Juco QB for next year.
Case in college was a lot like Time Tebow in the NFL. He was generally really terrible, but had an incredible knack for making game-winning plays and having really good 4th quarters.
This article is from four days ago. Heard is "starting to get it," in Watson's opinion. He better be, because Swoopes was worse than Sh-t in the Box tonight. http://www.burntorangenation.com/fo...od-heard-texas-longhorns-redshirt-development
Swoopes looks like he takes too long to make a decision and the window is closed once he does. He rarely keeps on the read option even when the end is crashing down. It just looks like he has trouble reading defenses. DD
It's the unforced errors that puzzle me. That fumble returned for td was not caused by tcu. The game would have been more competitive if we played case McCoy sad to say
I said he had a low football IQ in the previous post, but someone disagreed. You can not compare him with McCoy, that is almost an insulting. By the way, is UT going to play the Texas Bowl? I am ready to purchase the tickets.
Most of the projections I'm seeing so far have them in the Texas Bowl against A&M still. That game would be a nice consolation prize, but it's hard to get excited about a 6-6 UT team playing a 7-5 A&M team. I'd almost prefer for them not to play each other at this point. Don't want the rivalry to be renewed in a crappy low tier bowl. I'm amazed that Houston doesn't have a higher-tier bowl game at NRG. I mean the stadium has hosted a Super Bowl already and is set to host another one in two years or so.
I heard that the A&M team did not want to face the UT, but if the UT is in the Bowl game, that is good enough for me to purchase some tickets.
Agreed. Even though I think we're more likely to see a UT vs. Arky or even LSU than A&M. While still a lower-tier bowl game, the Texas Bowl moving to a Big 12 vs. SEC game is a vast improvement considering the previous match ups... 2006 Rutgers - Kansas State 2007 TCU - Houston 2008 Rice - Western Michigan 2009 Navy - Missouri 2010 Illinois - Baylor 2011 Texas A&M - Northwestern 2012 Texas Tech - Minnesota 2013 Syracuse - Minnesota Since the SEC gets to choose which bowl they want to send their teams, I'm expecting to see "bigger" schools being sent down for recruiting and exposure in Houston.

No, I realize...that's why I said that the SEC bailed them out. It's not the aggies being the p*****s, it's the SEC. They have too much to lose and not much to gain from this matchup.
Aggies are p-----s. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>.<a href="https://twitter.com/CoachSumlin">@CoachSumlin</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WeRunAwayFromThisState?src=hash">#WeRunAwayFromThisState</a></p>— Chuck F'n Strong (@ChuckFnStrong) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChuckFnStrong/status/541724803107794944">December 7, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Texas-Arkansas to meet in Texas Bowl on Dec. 29 TCU, Baylor left out of first college football playoff http://www.statesman.com/
LOL As for the matchup...should be a good one. Arkansas has fluctuated from dreadful to pretty dang good all year. Should be a low-scoring affair.
With UT in the bowl game, at least I have a reason to purchase some tickets, we will see which team is going to win the game, which is not important for me at this point.
I'm happy the horns can play in front of Houston fans but the opponent is disappointing. Would have rather seen A&M or LSU.
