Last year we forced the Twin Towers with D12 and Asik but offensively it was trash. DMO has the ability to play inside but can also hit the corner 3. He's Bosh-lite, okay very lite but you get the point.

That's what I'm saying as well. The only concern is if opposing teams go small I'm not sure DMO could handle a ball handling/slashing 4. D12 would get into foul trouble.

I think that's why we need Jones back, DMo doesn't match up well when the other team goes really small and that's when Jones is at his best. I would platoon them at the 4 depending on the matchup.

Good to see him leaning in to make his shots, not fading away.

Dude looks in rhythm on his post moves. Dwight better watch out, DMo is out to get his spot hehe

I loved that left hook he has...very soft touch and very effective. When Howard and Jones comes back I hope DMo will continue to play closer to the basket like he did last night. Giving us 10-12 points a night would be great.

Good to see him able to post up and getting the ball. I hope they keep it up when DMo is on the floor without Dwight. Not posting him up is a big waste of offensive talent.

Far better post moves than Dwight, and I hope when Dwight/TJ come back, we refrain from putting DMo in with Dwight. Having a legitimate post scorer could actually open up the offense 10x more. It would be awesome if DMo could kick it out to a shooter once in a while.

I hope Dwight understands all he needs to do is set pick and roll.

Very impressive play from DMo the last 6-7 games, but specifically the last 3 in particular. Especially in the post, dude looks netter than Howard with his versatility and fluidity. I know he can hit the 3 occasionally, but that's the only time I grip a little when he falls in love w/ going outside and chucking up 3's. Where Dmo has really improved is defensively, he has played exceptionally well on that end as his minutes have increased this season and his passing is excellent for a big man. Wish he was a little stronger on the boards, but I think that is a function of his over all body size, needs to add some muscle, although that could affect him on the offensive end possibly... Anyway, i was harsh on him early in the season, but the dude has been very solid the last several games w/ Howard/TJ. Without him and Canaan out there last night we lose big. Harden wasn't going to be able to carry us last night...

The last few games, especially last night, really ought to have glaringly displayed that to McHale and Morrey, if they are missing the fact that DMo can post up and score effectively like he has recently then they after border-line STUPID!!!

I was getting frustrated in the 2nd/3rd quarters when we didn't continue to post him up and everyone was chucking threes. I really hope we slow it down in games where the other teams start going on runs. No need to play it at their pace. We should post him up way more.

The problem has always been that with Howard in the game his man will always double D-Mo in the post. And that is the reason we see D-Mo drag his defender out to the 3 point line when Howard is in the game. We know that Howard cannot hit the PF inside when doubled, and I doubt very seriously that D-Mo can make that pass either. Interior passing by a big man in the paint off the double team is about as advanced of a passing skill that there is. So, basically the defense loses absolutely nothing when they double the post.

Great point, but I am talking about when Howard isn't in the game specifically.

I may possibly have been wrong about Dmo being a bust.

If DMo can do this when Black is in the game clogging up the paint...then he can for sure do it when Dwight is in the game.

I am becoming slightly more convinced that DMo is turning a corner right now (crossing my fingers that this post doesn't jinx him). And if he is, there's your guy on the floor when Dwight sits. And what that means is we really need our 3rd big to be a big time shooter to spread the floor around both Dwight and DMo.

When Howard gets back I expect that we will almost always see either Howard or D-Mo man the center position from now on.
