You could have just said "everyone please add me to your ignore list" for the same effect. At least that's the message I got.

I don't think you understand. He said "If we can can" what happens in you can't? What happens when you need a play? Like I dunno say? the playoffs? That's the problem with having Mchale.

"The more random we can make it, the more difficult it will be for the defense.

The problem is, there's absolutely NOTHING random about James Harden dribbling the clock down to under 5 seconds and throwing up a tough shot. That makes it incredibly easy for the defense...

Hasn't Harden won us the last two games almost single handedly? Coaches do what works in practice and the game. I can find no fault with Harden at this point in the young season.

Oh no, I perfectly understand. I think it's you who fails to understand repeatedly that the Rockets still run plays. It goes over my head how people actually watch the games and say things to the contrary. To say the Rockets never run any plays is ignorant at best. It's egregiously annoying/stupid and trying to push an agenda at worst.

Additionally, clinging to semantics and trying to make a subjective narrative out of a fairly obvious quote by cherry picking a part of it to fit your personal views is in poor taste.

I think you might want to read this wikipedia entry.

I've never said the Rockets don't run plays to the contrary actually. It was Mchale's apologist(JTR) on here that were saying that we don't and that no one does and I had to point out several times when we did.

Then why would you ask what happens when we need a play? We'll run a play. I feel like that's fairly obvious.

I think that giving the ball to Harden and getting the f'k out of his way is in the playbook.

Which Mchale is ADMITTEDLY not good at. Not only has he said he is not good at it former players actually laugh when describing what happens when he draws plays. Kevin Garnett and others who love him actually said he is not good at that. The word etch e sketch was actually used. We might use certain standard plays during the game but Mchale isn't that type of game strategist. THIS IS WHY WE LOSE LEADS. There is footage of Lin in crunchtime taking the board away from him and drawing his own and of Harden ignoring Mchale gesturing to asst coaches asking if the play is are good??

This is a thread discussing a specific topic. Firing Mchale. That's usually how threads work...they get bumped anytime something relevant happens. I'm not trolling.

We're getting poor in game coaching. Case in point the Lillard play.

Seriously. Can you imagine Lin grabbing the clipboard from pop:eek: I'm not hear complaining of our system. I know that our strategy comes from Morey. I don't have a problem with that. But we need a real coach for in game coaching. George Karl? JVG?

The pro McHale people are getting carried away with the Zach Lowe article. You know what else that piece says about Dallas? They LOVE running pick and roll and barely post up. Even when we have Dwight, it's questionable at best to be feeding him constantly in the post if he's not effective (see: Memphis game). And how often have we been asking for Harden/Howard pick and rolls? We just don't see it enough. This is what coaching can accomplish.

You know that JVG never took the Rockets out of the first round, with prime, healthy T-Mac and Yao. . . . And has a worse regular season record than McHale. . . .

Canaan is having a great game vs the Kings. Too bad McFail isn't bright enough to realize he can help us even when Beverley is starting.
