I like that direction we're going in. Earl Clark, Al Harrington etc..We need veterans that know how to play. On another note, you guys are WAY to hard on Black. He's a rookie playing out of position (at center). Yes he has his shortcomings, but he hustles his azz off. Now Dorsey:rolleyes:

I think Black at PF can eventually develop into a decent player

Skip this guy. He's done in a bad way. Get Jermaine O'neal who clearly still can play and has the extra height and girth to backup Howard.

I like Harrington for @15-18 mpg. Of course there is KMac and AH may wind up with 35 mpg...

    Who gets cut?

I really don't think there's much to this rumor. Not attacking cyberx, just saying I don't see him in Houston. We need to make trades.

It would be interesting to play a 5 out lineup with Canaan/Harden/Ariza/Harrington/DMo. Soooo much room for James to operate.

Terrible shooting selection and very weak defensively. Why not try Earl Clark before him? ...
    We'll see.

So are we just going to pretend he can't hit the corner three? (besides cyberex)

Stop over thinking it. All he has to do is shoot, 34 years old isnt too old for that.

Wouldn't mind seeing Earl Clark OR Harrington at the 4.

Leave Dmo/Black as the reserves for the 5 spot.

RV6... while i appreciate the charts and the percentages, those are severely low amounts of attempts? Am i missing something in your post? Usually you wouldn't overlook something like that

    Al Harington??

I was really hoping that we would pull off a trade for a different PF that plays in Atlanta who's first name is also Al and last name also starts with an H. He would be the perfect fit for our team IMO

They are, but I think they still tell the story here. Trevor played a lot and made a ton of corner threes last season and was around 70-100 attmps..Harrington had some in the 50s and 60s in those previous years i listed. Last year he didn't play enough to get more attempts. The consistency from year to year is important, IMO. You just gotta park him in the corner and make sure he understands that's his green light.

Okafor can't even practice until March 2015? Wow. I thought there were some rumors of him maybe making a comeback this off season? Guess it was a lot more serious than i realized

I was watching some RGV reporter interview Clark; Clark said he was working on his back to the basket game. That would be welcomed on this squad.

I see your point about consistency from year around, it does seem very telling and important. I didn't really recognize that. While it's not an insane amount of attempts, it's not like he was playing massive minutes.

Thinking about this he would be a good fit(i was never showing that). Imagine we have a elbow/high PnR with harden and Dwight. If al's defense charts over on harden or Dwight all al has to do is creep out into the corner for the open look. Something I'm sure the rockets staff would preach.
