After talking to my father who is an anesthesiologist that deals with nerves every day, his assessment was he'd be out 4-6 months. All I had to do was mention nerve injury and he immediately asked if it was the pereneal nerve. Looks like we're down a starter for the foreseeable future.
It is not bad, it just takes a long time for nerves to heal....he just happened to get hit at exactly the wrong spot, he will make a full recovery, and he probably should start wearing knee pads. DD
It really is unfortunate that he isn't getting more experience. But I guess Dmo getting a chance to start is positive. Who knows

I don't think he'll lose his starting job to DMo once he returns, unless DMo starts playing consistently good. But, barring that possibility, it won't be another Lowry-Dragic scenario.
