This series has 1 great movie and 2 average to below average ones. This trailer certainly didn't look worse than par. I'm not sure what people are expecting. I'm looking forward to it.
I had no problem with the CGI... ... but the story-line. Seriously? That's the story-line your going with?
With that said, I'm surprised so many are so excited... the franchise really faded out with a whimper. And now seemingly out of nowhere people are jumping through the roof. There have been other recent dinosaur movies, why the hubbub now? This same movie concept was being mocked only a few years ago when they cast Lindsey Lohan, but now it's supposed to be special? This franchise began and ended with the brilliant and handsome Jeff Goldblum for me.
CGI not much better than the one used in Godzilla of last year. It's a summer movie and it's exactly what it's made for, Popcorn fun!
I worded it wrong. There were some instances of bad CGI, IMO, like at 0:35, but overall it wasn't terrible. What I meant was there was way too much use of CGI. Some is fine, obviously, but just by the trailer it looks like they went way overboard. But I guess it's just the trailer though.
when you are making a movie that is about Dinosaurs you pretty much have to use alot of CGI unless you want crap like this... Spoiler
Nero, are we allowed to criticize the (obvious) storyline of GMO = bad? Or do we have to wait and watch the entire movie before complaining about it?
IIRC, atmospheric oxygen during the Jurassic was a whole lot higher than today, and this was instrumental in the size of these creatures. In reality, most of these creatures would probably be lying on the ground, gasping for breath like a 70 year old smoker with emphysema, whose oxygen tank is empty.
Probably alligator. Movie looks horribly cliched...they're setting it up to be Alien/Species meets Jurassic Park. But Chris Pratt and CGI look ok to me.
