So if a coach with a 10-4 record plays at home to a that starts 5 guys no one has ever heard of and making Donald Sloan look like a superstar, is that coach one of the best in the NBA? Or should he be criticized like every McHale loss?
Coaching in game is incredibly over rated. Coaching team strategy on both sides of the ball off the court is highly under rated. The Rockets should have won this game at home, even down three starters. And they did. The next two games don't look so good though.
The mavs are a lesser talented team than the harden rockets. I know the media blew all that mavs sunshine up your ass so you're high on them but to me their the same talent level as last year.
Wow. Are you on drugs? Are the Mavs less talented than Houston down 2, count them 2 starters? If you think that then you are the greatest homer of all time.
It has been shown, beyond a reasonable doubt by statistical analysis, that in game coaching makes absolutely no difference. In fact, even calling a TO on offense is a mistake. TOs benefit the defense much more than the offense. Please do get your facts straight.
Cannon is better than any of the current mavs PGs. Losing Bev forces Mcfail to play cannon so with our current rotations (with all respect to Bev) it's almost a wash. DMo is better than folks on this bbs realize. Let me repeat. A harden lead rockets is more talented than the current mavs. We're better than the mavs at PG, SG& SF.
Fundamental disagreement with all that crap you just posted. There's no analysis that you can point to that will convince me that McFail couldn't have better positioned the rockets to defend the Lillard series winning shot. NOTHING.
First off, jtr is the biggest Dmo homer, so, yeah there's that Secondly, the difference between Tyson and black, the difference between dirk and dmo, is way way bigger than the differences between harden and monta or parsons and ariza. Plus Dallas would have better depth. Plus I wouldn't say Canaan is better than their pg rotation. Basketball doesn't work the way you explained, with we win at this position and this position.
Hmm. Ok. That's a very good point. Still, think criticism was warranted as our coach has never proven himself, nor has harden done what dirk has done yet, but still, I'll give it to you, excellent rebuttal.
The mavs are not as deep as experts would have you to believe. Difference is coaching. Dallas Jim Carey utilizes his bench and implements a system that involves more than ISO harden. Mcfail relies on harden too much. A better coach would cultivate the bench players.
Do you actually watch the Rockets games? Do you focus on defense instead of just watching the ball? Do you understand NBA defense? Do you look at stats enough to understand that players D-Mo defends are shooting 13% below their averages? Thought not. Such a big hoopla about Harden holding his man to 6.8% below their shooting average. 13% is about the best in the league right now.
Are you willing to give us a source to this apparently irrefutable evidence for your claim? Poor in game coaching such as substitution patterns, not resting players, not exploiting matchups can all be the difference between winning and losing a close game. The Rockets were clearly outcoached in the Blazers series. Most experts would contend that McHale was one of the worst if not the worst head coach of a playoff team last year. Lastly, it is well documented that Morey was not a happy camper of McHale's playoff performance and it seemed he needed some convincing (i.e. McHale excuses) to not fire him.
Feedback I received on this post: Guess who thinks their coach sucks. Mav fans. It's true. Fans are idiots. You're a fan aren't you? Sounds like Mcfail's third cousin.
Just Google it. Do I have to do everything? And for someone with absolutely no NBA experience you assume a lot. I would propose you know much less than you think.
