The landing of the van off the bridge was very SMH, as it started to go nose first and landed on all of it's wheels. But yes, a meh one overall..
This show went up 2TD's early and went straight back into prevent defense as it finishes out the half... hopefully they can at least get a field goal off before halftime (2 episodes in 2014).
Daryl and Carol, who claimed to have the advantage of surprise, were really sloppy in this episode. Driving within 100ft of the hospital car, starting fires left and right, tossing their gun into the hallway, getting trapped in the van, and not looking both ways before running across the street. Amateur hour.
This episode should have been about Daryl spilling his guts to Carol about being abused as a child (hence, the book Carol saw in Daryl's backpack) and Carol spilling her guts to Daryl about how she had to kill the little girl after the little girl tried to maker her sister a zombie. Then, they cry, hug, and make sweet, passionate love in that room with the bunk bed with Air Supply's "Lost in Love" playing in the background. And, then they are a couple after that going forward exiting the room holding hands and smiling like they are in the all new, loving world...only to be shattered shortly thereafter by what happened at the end there. But, Daryl is holding out for Beth. lol
Funny . . . I have seen rumors around that perhaps Daryl is gay or they were thinking of making him gay or something Not that it makes a difference . . . but it would be different Rocket River Daryl as MidNighter
And I posted the network is seeing him more of a 'virgin type' and shy guy (abused hits the nail too)
One more thing; who's car was it that was shown running over the Walkers head when Carol and Daryl were following the car with their lights off? Seems like it was too much time for it to be their cars back tires.
Wasn't the first car the one they were chasing and the tire that smushed the walker's head was on the car Daryl and Carol were in?
Ok, maybe that's it. Couldn't go back and watch bc I deleted it but that makes sense. Thought maybe it was Noah..
I work at CNN and saw them when they were shooting this episode. Pretty cool to see it on TV finally.
Crossing back under the chained door without looking first....hey, it's not like there are zombies walking around or anything. Slow episodes, but clearly building up to something...
For anyone who's interested, here are the scriptures the Father Gabriel was looking at on the wall in the church during tonight's episode: We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. (*Romans *6:*4 NIV) So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. (*Ezekiel *37:*7 NIV) and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. (*Matthew *27:*52 NIV) During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. (*Revelation *9:*6 NIV) In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? (*Luke *24:*5 NIV)
^^Oops, the Ezekial verse really needs the next verse in the context..^^ So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. (*Ezekiel *37:*7-8 NIV)
last night's episode was a bit better than the past few... not coincidentally, because the main group was involved and as such it was less impacted by Beth scenes. The Talking Dead show afterwards was helped by Rosarita... schwing!
