Teague will not help this team. Sure he's an upcoming star but Bev is the heart of this team. Heart is greater than talent at this point for this team.
Can you stop gumming up the forum with your nonsense. If you don't like the thread don't post in it. If you don't like Plowman, then put him on ignore.
This. Whether Plow is legit or a fraud, posting continuous junk about it when it's clear the mods arent going to ban him is senseless. Bmd if you're that zealous about it take it to the mods, plow isn't going to stop posting his stuff, people aren't going to stop responding to it. Nothing you do will change that. Either stay out of the thread or petition the mods and be done with it. You'll gain hours of your life back.
Amen. I wrote it yesterday. You had a couple posters actually being civil with Plow recently. I said a trade seldom happens without a deadline to force it, that the wolfpack here would get hungry long before that and turn on the guy again. Didn't even take a day.
Honestly, the only thing that bothered me about getting Yao on the rockets is the number of asinine posters that signed up right around that time. Miss the good ole days when people who posted rumors or news they heard weren't crucified cause they couldn't tell us every detail. At least it brings forth a discussion of something new and not the same old "Morey sucks, mchale sucks, screw parsons, OMG DWIGHT IS HURT" panic threads that clutter this board.
I'm a long time lurker, until I just feel the need to say something... These posters complaining about PLOW or any other insider, well you have to click on this thread, the thread that gets your panties in a bunch. Doing that over and over speaks volumes. Stop throwing temper tantrums, it just tells me that you believed them yourself at one point, otherwise, you wouldn't be so upset. Even if they aren't true insiders, the updates they post creates healthy Rocketball discussion. That is why we are here, aren't we?
I believe that the issue is that many individuals are just making crap up. Complete fallacies are never a good thing for any forum. In general their predictions are no better than throwing darts blindfolded against a wall. Their actions can create immense threads, with all of the associated wasted effort and emotions, on fictional information. Witness the thread last February about the "supposed insider information" that would lead to a trade for Rondo. Never happened, probably was never ever seriously discussed. What a waste.
He isn't making it up. I don't think cyberx was making up the Rondo stuff either. Why would he? But of course all sides denied it; and Morey was unfortunately in no position to trade Chandler Parsons.
I understand what you're saying. The problem is we don't know what is a fallacy and what is not, it does make this thread unique, and it isn't for everyone. If it's not for someone, and it creates frustration for them, I don't understand why they would return. I enjoy this thread, even if nothing comes to frutition, to think about the what ifs etc... What I don't enjoy is the members complaining countless times, it ruins a thread that some members enjoy reading. I actually feel guilty about these two posts, because I'm being somewhat hypocritical, as in there is no basketball related material in them. I've said what I've had to say regarding this situation. Thank you for your civility jtr.
Because he loves attention and wants to be at the center of it? Because he likes deceiving people? Because he desires the chaos such predictions bring? Your guess is as good as mine. But Morey and his staff are not leaking. If any team declares that they are in negotiations with the Rockets over a trade it is probably a red haring designed to interest other NBA GMs in a deal. When you are the slightest bit skeptical the world is so much clearer in your vision.
My question was always why would Morey ever consider a trade for a pound the rock and wait for an assist PG like Rondo, when we had Harden? Does it make any sense whatsoever to take the ball out of Harden's hands, effectively castrating the very best offensive weapon the Rockets possessed? I could find no justification for the trade from a tactical standpoint so I dismissed it immediately as a fallacy. The rest is bloody history.
I am a first time poster but long time clutch fan reader. Over the last 5 years I have made it a daily routine to check in and read every post as it relates to my beloved rockets from analysis to possible insider information all the way to personal opinions. Recently there has been an overwhelming amount of negativity in these forums. At the end of the day rather the information is true, speculation or just wish full thinking, we all found this website to talk and hear about the Houston rockets. Everything should be taken with a face value but respected. There is not one insider that hasn't been wrong or gotten information that just didn't pan out. A "insider" is just a middle man to a source.....I appreciate everyone who provides information to these forum but I also understand things change by the minute. I'm just thankful that are team is 9-3 and playing well. Clutch city 4 ever!
Basketball 101 -- You get the ball to James in space.....with the advantage...You get Dwight the ball when he has his man sealed off, right when he needs it, going inside out, breaking down defenses and feeding shooters spotting up at the three point line..... you have a cohesive flow out there....guys get into a rhythm ....An experienced Championship floor general who commands respect and will get into folks if needed...ANY of them....and along with all this...the defense. Who are you talking about when you speak of loving: attention, deceiving people, and creating chaos?
