I am sure LeBron knows plenty about hoops and can make a fine coach. But the thing is he still can't do what he does to Blatt if he want the best for the team. At the very least he has to control Blatt from behind the scenes rather than acting straight up like star player, coach and owner all rolled into one even if he really is that good and that critical to the team. It's just a matter of possible conflict of interest. A coach is the guy who should have the team's interest in winning each game in mind. Players want to win, too, but even an unselfish player may be suspected by teammates of having his own personal agenda (racking up stats, playing a way to make himself look good, etc.). A GM should look at the long term interest of the franchise. When you roll 2 or, in this case all 3 if these roles into one, it is not be a very healthy dynamic sometimes.
Do people not learn from the Miami fiasco? They were 9-8 after 17 games, with better talent. It's only been 11 games. Jesus.
People keep talking about the Miami Start but, Kyrie nowhere near as Good as Wade was back in 11 and he cant play off ball. Love rebounds better than bosh but his defense is nowhere near as effective guarding 4's or 5's. Lebron looks like he running on fumes
I don't remember Miami looking like they all despised each other at the start of 2011. Plus there was waaaaaay more hoopla (and hate/venom), especially at the beginning. Obviously I think the Cavs will eventually get much better, but how much? Also, Kyrie and Love have 0 combined playoff minutes, so there's also that once they get there.

Valid point but the vibe doesn't feel the same at all. I agree they will figure it out and become a good team. How good is the question. One thing clear is this roster falls far short of the 2010/11 Heat squad. IMO, Kyrie should step back a little and focus on setting up other players, particularly so Love can emerge as a primary option on offense. LeBron needs to be more assertive (selfish) and not worry so much about getting others involved. He's over-passing. Love has to get more post-up opportunities and the chance to work from the elbow. This way he can find a comfort zone and be a bigger factor on the offensive glass, which is a huge part of his game.
Maybe he's just a basketball genius that is thinking so many steps ahead that he's already back on offense
I wonder if they would ship him to okc for ibaka, that's the player they need. Maybe love would stay in okc with his college buddy Westbrook. Eventually blat will get fired but I'm not sure there's any good coach available at the moment.
Blatt is a good coach (his career record attests to that), but he has an unbalanced team and rebellious players. He is stuck in a bad situation because the front office will obviously back LeBron (or even Love for that matter) in any disagreement between Blatt and him. The way things stand, he cannot coach the team properly - both X/O and leadership wise - and it will stay like this until he and LeBron manage to coexist like Woj suggests.

Lebron is yapping way too much. He's playing way below his standards so he should be checking himself first and foremost. Shooting 46%. He hasn't shoot that bad in like 8-9 years. Stats all down across the board along with subpar defense.

My main concern going into the season was LeBron's relationship with Blatt. There seems to be a problem. Very good chance Blatt isn't the right coach. Second concern was Dion Waiters. They gotta get rid of him and I think it will happen soon. You have to assume at some point a sense of urgency will grip LeBron and it will spread to the whole team. I can't see them going through the motions all season.
The team has no chemistry. Wade, LeBron, Bosh were in the same draft class, played on a lot of Dream Team games together. Its going to take longer for the Cavs. Still think they'll be able to out-talent teams whenever they pull together some small modicum of good chemistry.
