I'll see how you feel about this game. And after our 5-game homestand, all potential losses without Howard.

I guess I'll take "questionable" over already ruled out.

This is Mark Cuban's boys' third game in four nights.

The Rockets win by a Vin Baker's dozen.

Howard/Jones combined are averaging 33 points and 18 rebounds. And with Dwight anchoring the paint on the defensive end for the #1 ranked defensive team, I think it's reasonable to say we'd be 11-1 right now were it not for missing the front court.

I'm pretty optimistic about the future of this season since it's almost a given Morey will add more quality players to the roster by the end of the deadline.

We will probably lose tonight if Dwight doesn't play. Maybe even blown out. It doesn't matter though. Let the national pundits go on a Rockets hate fest. Houston will be a legit contender after the trade deadline.

Well Mavs have possibly the 2nd best coach in the NBA in Carlisle and the Rockets have possibly the worst coach in the NBA in McHale. Very little chance that the Rockets offense ever becomes as dynamic as the Mavs offense with so many open looks, different plays etc as compared to the Rockets gimmick offense.

Rockets need a new offense strategy , competent bench players and real backup big man before they are considered contenders .

That's the part that KILLS ME! This team would look so much better with a different offense focused on team play and ball movement . I watched Dallas and gsw last night and it was amazing how fluid and beautiful their offense was. Part of the problem we face is the team is playing Morey ball under McHale where as with adleman they played more traditional team ball.

Almost. Rockets wanted to be a Top 5 Offense and Top 10 Defense

I think Mavs are at 14th or 15th spot on Defense but not shabby at all

Mavs personnel is terrible on defense. Thats why even if Carliscle has the perfect game plan on defense, they may not be able to execute it. If their players were better on defense they would be talking about #championship.

Rockets were top 5 on offense and 12 on defense last yr and how did that fair? I admit dallas is a nice team like we were last yr but come playoff time that defense is going to bite them in the butt. They have no defensive stoppers Imo chandler shouldn't be considered one either he's not what he used to be. Dallas is maybe better than we were last season but a lot of that is coaching and having a veteran mvp top 20 player all time on your team. Hopfully harden will become that time will tell.

Mans only being a 3 point favorite leads me to believe Dwight is playing

While I tend to agree, this isn't a NON-Morey thing at all not to move the ball or have a team offense.

Seriously, one of the best part of those first handful of games this season is our offense looked awesome, we were moving the ball so well. Go back and watch the SA game.

The only problem with looking at our final defensive rank is that we weren't consistently there all year. We were actually 7-8 most of the season until the end where we fell off a cliff and were playing like a bottom 1/3 of the league D then played the worst defense of any team in the playoffs.

A team consistently top 10 in both throughout the season is a team that is almost always a top 4 team in the league.

Dallas is close thus far, but it's really early. And usually I would say where their defense currently ranks wouldn't be good enough to be considered one of those top teams, but if they continue this unreal offensive pace then a middle of the pack D might be good enough.
