Lin proves again the only person that was holding him back was him. You're the second option on your team and you're 8/11...yet you only take 11 shots.
should have been 9/12. They called a bs offensive foul when he hit a shot even though he didn't kick out his leg on purpose (unlike many other players).
you know... i just had a funny thought. The lakers get blown out so much that the starters don't play in fourth quarters half the time. literally. I wonder how that is effecting his stats. It looks like Lin really has a mission this year to be efficient with his shooting. But I'm not sure thats what his team wants or needs. So I don't know why he's doing it. Plus. kobe man. Dude is really chucking. I thought he was going to level out at some point. I wouldn't want to play with that dude. A 'superstar' who has cart blanche to chuck the team into twenty point losses. Dude is soaking up the fga's like a black hole. Seriously troubles me that we lost to the lakers. Seriously. Plus... its not even like the mavs are on a back to back since they basically got to sleep through their hundred point shallacking of the fakers. and one more thing... did anyone see that cavs game? cavs suuuuuuck. just had throw that in there.
We could use him on our team now, which is absolute anaemic on offense and our coach glues our sparkplug PG Canaan to the bench
the guy is either shooting 0/5 or 8/10 its crazy doesnt seem he 'll ever have 15 fga as long as kobes on the team
Wow, didn't realize he is that efficient. No way he can sustain that for the whole season. But if he can get 45% FG%, 40% 3P% and 85% FT%, he would be a solid starting point guard for a lot of teams. Both him and Chandler are playing well for their respective teams.
Stats are pointless if you play terribly with any kind of pressure or against a good team. No solace in putting up numbers when your team loses by 30 in a 250 point game. Exact kind of fluff that got you guys excited in nyc for 2 weeks. See Darren Collison for a real talent that delivers when it counts and in close games.
Absolutely not. He is a career 45, 35, 80 player. He could shoot better than 35% from 3 but will not sustain the other numbers.
Why would his FT% drop to 80% all of a sudden? Isn't that the most consistent of all stats in basketball?? Also, FG 45% is not TERRIBLE for a perimeter player. Anything above 45% is pretty good.
his 3 point shooting has improved while he was here with the rockets...I don't think he'll be anywhere near all-star this year but he's definitely servicable
Umm..Hmm...no sense of sarcasm? Of course it's not possible considering the 50 40 90 club has only been reached by 6! Players in nba history!
He is still inconsistent. But I am actually not bothered by his 1 of 5 game followed by a 8 of 11 game. It just means when he has a bad game, he is not hurting his team. By when he has a good game, his team benefits. But if his inconsistency comes from a 12 of 15 game follows by a 2 of 14 game, then he is really hurting his team when he has a bad game. A lot of people want him to show confidence by jacking up shots even when he has a bad shooting game. But why? His inconsistency will not allow him to be the 1st or 2nd option in any team, but his efficiency could allow him to be a solid starting point guard. If he can keep this efficiency going, he will find job as a starting gig in this league.
