Andrei Kirilenko looking for a trade? (UPDATE: AK47 traded to Philly)

Just remembered something... the year the Wolves signed AK47, Morey was really high on it. He said it was an underrated signing that he expected to payoff big for the Wolves. He liked the contract. Everything... seemed a bit impressed/jealous.

So maybe there's a chance.

 

Because a former Mav/Rocket killer is our best bench player so why not take a former J!zz?

 

I remember when he had these monster fantasy games...like 5 x 5+ or something (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks). I'd take him on the Rockets.

 

What's Mehmet Okur up to these days?

 

Give them DMo and Dorsey for AK and Corey Jefferson and call it a day.

Lol at you guys and Jeff Adrien. There is a reason he moves from team to team if he is even on a team. He isnt that good. He isnt solving ANY problems we have. Get over it, its not a Morey pride thing its an Adrien isnt that good thing.

At this point.......As much as it pains mw to say this......Sloan would have Howard and Harden destroying defenses with that pick and Roll.

 

Adrien is a total zero on the offensive end and shoots FT's as bad as Howard. I don't understand why so many think he solves any of the Rockets current problems .... He's a 15th man on most rosters or in the DLeague.

AK47 can hit those mid range jumpers & finish around the rim at a solid clip while being a pretty decent defender & very annoying pest to opponents. He's been a solid NBA player for a long time.

Even with the poor stats this season , I'd take a shot with AK47 at a low cost ($3.3m) before I resigned Adrien. If you could complete the deal soon , even if he cant contribute on the court , he has the added value of being an expiring contract that could be moved at the trade deadline where Adrien's vet min would be pretty much useless ($507k??).
Hell you could take both AK47 & Corey Brewer with the trade exception now as they total $8m in salary then take back up to $12m in salary by combining them at the deadline .... that gets you in the ballpark for Rondo ($12.9m) , Milsap ($9m) or any number of other players who may be on the move that don't fit within the TPE's $8.4m limit.
