Sorry but enjoying a fluff movie like this and getting laid are two mutually exclusive events.

It's funny how everyone dumping on this movie didn't see the first one and everyone looking forward to it SAW the first one.... Hmmmm......

I caught the first one on cable last year and loved it. Really looking forward to the sequel.

    Treblemakers FTW.

Yeah, the first one was funny and had some good music. When I was dragged to it by friends I had got it mixed up with that Clint Eastwood baseball movie (Trouble with the Curve). It worked out, because I'm pretty sure Pitch Perfect was a better movie.

I think some people here have the wrong perception about it. I'd say it's closer to a Mean Girls style type of comedy (but with music). Unless people think Mean Girls was a rom-com.

Not everyone. I saw the first one, but not looking forward to it. It's crappy... of course the Bellas will win the "International" version of it...

Of course you would love it... :p

Agree. I stumbled across it on cable thinking it was a movie about baseball and couldn't turn it off. I'm sure these other manly men are too busy wrestling bears and drinking grain alcohol strait from the bottle to watch a comedy about singing. You can't judge this book by it's cover...the movie is funny.

Love the announcer parts of Higgens and Banks, a la Best in Show.

Was that a Clay Matthews cameo with the sleeves off?

I'm fairly certain Swoly LOVED the first movie, but just can't admit it to himself.

Went out of his way to start this thread while paying some lip service to how "girly" it is.

It's okay Swoly, feel secure in your masculinity and tell us the truth!

It's funny how some people will categorize other people as somehow being of less worthiness as a movie-goer because they may like a certain film or not. You like what you like. If someone else thinks you are stupid for liking something, then they seem stupid for expecting you to like or dislike something based on what they think you should like or not like.

That said...you are all stupid for liking this movie and you fit in my stupid category. :p

P.S.: I'm in the stupid category as well because I liked the first one, too. It was dumb fun. But, mainly, Anna sold me on it and I'm not sure it works without her "talents".

I unabashedly love the first movie. But I also have a love of acappella music and watched several seasons of The Singoff before it was cancelled. But the first movie was pretty hilarious as well. Definitely looking forward to the sequel.

First movie was good. You should go watch it if you have never seen it before.

Not doing that at all. But it is pretty stupid to form an opinion about a movie.....when you haven't even seen it...

Yeah, I like acappella music as well and really miss The Sing Off.Wish it would come back.

I like the first one... except the gratuitous vomiting scenes (side note... WTF does every movie and most TV shows have to cram in barf scenes?). Fairly enjoyable singing and a few nice looking girls to look at. heck, add a fishing or basketball scene, and maybe an exploding car and chase scene, and you have a perfect movie.

    RoxBob says check it out...

I may have been an actor in middle and high school, but I am still very MACHO, sir. :p

And, no, I didn't like the movie at all. It was all B.S., a predictable plot, and the jokes are half funny. Acting was subpar, as well.
