Doesn't an insurance policy kick in since he's lost of the season? Rox can sign somebody to replace him @ his current salary?

It's really terrible to hear that. Jones was showing promise despite his inconsistencies.
I hope he will make a complete recovery to full health. I would love to see him have a productive career with the Rockets.

So can someone explain to me how this actually work? Swelling in his knee is missing with his nerve, or his actual nerve has been damaged, or what? Sounds pretty bad.

Remember our hell is not like OKC's hell or Chicago's hell for the last few years.

Jones is the best PF on the team but he wouldn't have brought the much needed rim protection needed. his inside scoring isn't that effective when up against bigger players anyway which would matter without dwight.

On a personal level, I'm sorry Terrence is injured. I hope he gets well quickly.

On a basketball note, I sure hope he is working on his 3-point shot, to catch and release it quickly and accurately. Because without that.......He doesn't make a difference anyway.

Hopefully they run more plays for Dmo in the post. Dude gets position many times and they don't pass it to him. Probably only gets it in the post 3 times (at best) a game. Use what you have.

It's not that he's that good, is that our alternatives are awful. Just the fact that guys like DMo, Black and Dorsey getting more playing time makes us a significantly worse team.

Jones is an offensive threat, something you can't say about any other big man on this team besides Dwight. He can be effective off the dribble and is good around the basket. Not having him in the lineup makes a significant difference, and it's obvious.

Nice post, but you completely misread the impact Jones has offensively. If he was an average NBA defender, we would be talking about the next big thing.
he makes a huge difference offensively, and makes space for others. The stats continue to show it.

The peroneal nerve is locate between where the fibula and the femur meet. So that is around where the lateral aspect of the knee is. He probably got knee'd at that same area and is causing a phenomenon called "foot drop". He pretty much can't doriflex, or lift his foot up.

Pretty much he has a bruised nerve, but he will recover. Nerve regeneration just takes a while depending on how bad the bruise is.

Here is a view of where the nerve is located. As you can see the nerve is at a very vulnerable spot to be hit. Dwayne Wade suffered from the same injury last season actually.
