What's Ariza being a penis about? Was he venting about how guys played last night? Was he mad at Dwight for not playing? Was he yelling at Dwight for alleged child abuse?

A coupe of nuggets from ESPN LA radio (John Ireland and Ramona Shelburne):

1. Ireland is the Lakers radio play by play guy. He and other out of town media members got their customary press packets from the Rockets. These usually have clippings of stories about HOU players in case out of town writers want to discuss them. Ireland was surprised when he found a copy of a story about Durant calling Dwight a p***y among his clippings. It was later explained to him that the Rockets PR guys messed up and gave out of town press members a packet of clipping to be shared internally.

2. Ireland and Shelburne speculated, based on their experience with Dwight and talks with people around the NBA, that Dwight doesn't like playing second fiddle to Harden and the situation is OK only so long as the team wins. They think things could turn sour quickly of the Rockets hit a bad patch.

 

I agree... you can't just make that statement and not elaborate CyberX. Give us a bit of context.

 

I guess time will tell, but I hope it's nothing and Dwight just needs a few games off.

 

What does that mean? Without Dwight against Dallas? Beyond that? Are we talking T-Jones kind of injury where we don't know when we'll ever see him back on the court? What the hell is going on with this team? It sounds like there's some major behind the scenes drama affecting them. Harden has not looked right out there this past week and I don't think it can be chalked up entirely to him being banged up or tired.

 

I think one of the other reporters said the Dallas game but of course who knows beyond that?

 

ariza actually did not play too well in the 2nd half last night imo. did not close out well on koby a couple of times and missed a few open shots himself.

The second part could very well be true, despite all the 'right' things Dwight has said, on the court it is obvious he wants to be the main guy. If it in fact turns sour, trade Dwight asap.

 

Obviously, losing Parsons, the glue guy, made this worse. He was best friends with Dwight before within the team.

 

You learn a lot about a team when it comes to a little failure.

If it is true that the team is in fighting while they are 9-3 then all hope is lost.
