wtf NBA players? Man... I remember when NBA players had style. Today, it seems like its some kind of running gag to see who can show up dressed more like a space clown. why?
he doesnt have the lateral quickness to get a variety of separation on guys he gets the blowby or the step back.. too easy to guess. predictable
He played well last night! The man was being double and triple teamed last night! He picked mostly quality shots, and tried to facilitate! We just don't have anyone besides D12 that can finish around the rim.
He plays PG at times, don't think I could really say, "for a guard." But that is what I typed out so feel free to believe what you want.
Maybe he means Allen Iverson? If that's the case then yes, the king of crossover has better handles than Harden, not a knock on Harden though.
He looks unfocused at times. I'll give him credit though, he played a remarkable floor game all the way up to that crucial turnover. I like that way he took one shot in the 1st half, and then turned it up in the 2nd. The problem is the Rockets have zero strategy down the stretch besides "give Harden the ball, everybody clear out". When you do that crap every nite the pressure lies squarely on Harden. How can you expect James to expand his game if you're asking him to be the hero every nite? I'd like to see plays ran for other guys (like JT, Ariza) in the 4th quarter too. It's sad Mchale still hasn't learned from last year's playoffs
What's wrong with Harden? Minute management. If you played organized bball before, you'd know that it's extremely exhausting playing the minutes he's playing. There are also no set plays to help his playmaking easier. So there's the major reason.
Re: Harden's "bad handles for a superstar", didn't the ESPN announcers say he was the best ball handler at SG in the entire league?
Well add in his usual trips to the free throw line and you are looking at a TS% of 60 and above which is elite. Then add about 6.5 APG and 6 RPG to his 25 PPG and those are truly superstar numbers.
He's shown he can play defense but it's funny we still have to wait to see what he can become since he will probably not start working on his stamina until maybe next off-season. Maybe that will not even help since he insists on bumping into guys and falling down so much and Morey simply does not know how to go after coaches who have a gameplan nor will he get other creators so it's all on him. I'm not sure Harden can handle that.
