simple. Ed Davis destroyed the Rockets on the offensive glass in the 4th quarter and had some putbacks to keep the Lakers in the game.

Then the face-palm foul 94 feet from the basket to put Swaggy P at the line.

Also, poor shooting overall despite hitting 3's at a good clip.

DH's presence was missed a lot this game. Not just for protecting the glass but also a sad fact: other than DH, no other Rocket averages more than 1 postup a game.

On the Harden turnover leading to Johnson And 1, what I don't get is why the Rockets ran the shot clock down to 7 seconds without trying anything productive before having Harden starting a drive 30 feet from the basket. The Rockets were up 1 point with like 1 minute left-- it really isn't time to bleed the clock by slowing the game down. I'd understand if they were up by 5 or 6 points but they were not. They should have used all the time they have to try and get the best shot available instead of sacrificing a higher % shot for spending 10 or so seconds of game clock.

Call me an eternal optimist but I'm still not worried.

Long season, crap streaks happen, multiple starters out for multiple games and still PLENTY of time to make moves to bolster the rotation.

I understand being worried, but I'm not on board with the sky is falling we are going nowhere crowd.

Get Hakeem to back up Howard for 10 mins a game.

Sad thing is, realistically he would be a better option than Black or Dorsey.

Not a surprise. considering our team is heavily star-dependent, it's always a Harden and Howard injury away from next to nothing.

I'm not worried about the Mavs game. Their defense gives up open 3s like few other teams can. We take the most amount of 3s by far. It'll be a laugher. They don't match up well with us at all and have no one to defend Harden.

Maybe Dwight got in an argument with Harden before the game? Something was bothering Harden while he was playing and Morey seemed upset about something (besides the loss).

Out of interest, was Terry playing the final few minutes? Wasn't he brought in for that very reason?

Got to sign Kevin Mchale as a player coach as to back up Howard.

    Ugh.

Losing to the Lakers is bad enough. Losing to the Lakers when they're on the 2nd night of a back to back? At home?

    Wow... just Wow. :(

I'm just hoping that Dwight isn't out any prolonged period of time or the Rockets could be in some real trouble for a while.

How about not making the playoffs? If they don't make trades to improve this team.....that could very well happen.

why are people ripping pbev? he scored 15 and completely shut down scrub-lin7.

if our full roster was on, we would've mugged them like last game.

calm down, only 9-3. you win some, you lose some. as long as we make the playoffs (which lakers will not).
