+1 SunsRocketsfan, rafer damn near gave me an aneurysm at times.

He had some very good moments but more than enough garbage moments. Although he was a hard worker and good team player, he was limited by his deficiencies and needed specific circumstances to thrive. I'm glad those days are over.

The same could be said for Lin

    Carl,
dig into that database called your brain and grab some of your memories of the Rockets games. Lay off the basketball reference for a day.

    Think about your statement.

JVG and Rick ran COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SYSTEMS.

euhm the only thing Skip does better than Lin is handling the ball and as a street ball player, it's normal. Lin is faster, shoots better, gets to the basket better and plays better defense than Skip.

I'm not mad, I just remember Rafer playing for Rick and that he was a better player, it may not show up on basketball-reference but people remember. For God sakes I don't remember Rafer getting a bruised chest or getting ripped by Mo Williams.

I do remember a bunch of missed floaters.

rafer alston had the privilege and honor of playing with tracy mcgrady.

i'm so glad we had t-mac to lead us to that 22-game winning streak.

is tracy mcgrady going to be sitting on the bench wearing a nice suit at the game today?
you know, like when he was playing with the rockets?

Tinman likes Adelman, Barkley and hates JVG and Lin. Rafer gon Rafer no matter the offense. The Van Gundy bros gave Rafer a NBA career.

Rafer was absolutely terrible and should send JVG and Tracy McGrady thank you cards daily for having a job for three years in Houston. Then he should send a thank you note to Daryl Morey for trading him to Orlando so he could ride Dwight's coattails to the finals.

Rafer was so bad that he was the starting pg for a finals team (albeit due to injury) and then basically out of the league the next year.

Lin should thank Mike D'antoni daily for still being in the league. He's lucky we traded for Harden when we did so he was saved from absolute embarrassment.

Lin and Rafer are the two worst starting pg's to ever play for the rockets. Even worse than all our pg's from the late 90's.

tinman is a straight troll who always tries to hype up Rafer because he doesn't want to give Tracy McGrady credit for everything he did for the Rockets. That's all this comes down to. And he likes to put JVG down whenever he can because he has some weird infatuation with Adelman.

At least he has the "Jeremy Lin sucks" part right.

So he had one good month and won some games. Check his game logs on basketball reference for 07-08 season. He basically sucked outside of February (22 win streak). You know who else had a really good month and also won some games? ;)

Pat Bev BOSSED Lin all game (offense and defense), once again proving that the Rockets made the right decision to bench Lin and start Beverley.

Cant believe the crazies were outraged by that decision. It was such a no-brainer.

You know the trolling would be on point if we won tonight. We lost so the laugh is on us?

Lin played crappy offensively, but he was competing hard on both ends this game-- far from how he played vs. GSW when he appeared to just not gave a **** (like McGrady's infamous Toronto game).

Was active on defense in crunch time and got a couple deflections-- the Lakers kind of got in a roll after he came in for Boozer. This probably has less to do with Lin playing well and more having to do with Boozer playing badly in the 2nd half and was a bad matchup vs. Kostas.

The Lakers' smallball lineup was just a more natural alignment with HOU playing Kostas at PF. The small Lakers largely stopped giving the Rockets open 3s, which HOU used to kill Lakers most of the game. The Rockets were really 3-pt reliant today (and all season).

I thought it was stupid earlier in the year when Byron Scott kept going with his normal lineup vs. opponents with "small ball PFs"-- Boozer just could not guard the likes of Draymond Green and could not beat them up consistently on offense, either.

If theres one good thing that came out of this for you guys, it's that Lin played horribly. Literally plays like a scrub every 3 games. Only thing that was decent was his defense

Lin was not a factor in this victory for the Lakers, Beverly clearly outplayed him

Usually I would agree, but Lin played so bad you can't even argue

    Thats not celebration.

Thats reaffirmation of a fact and stating the truth which was hard to swallow by plenty of folks.

Looking at your comments, I guess there are still some of them in denial.

Its not just that Lin was absolute trash, but Bev showed why he earned the starting spot.

He was aggressive, making his shots, rebounding.....basically helping his team.

PS. I am also criticizing the Rockets on the GRAM. See, unlike you, I can multi-task.
