Lolwut? Did you read the article? It was very complimentary except to state that for the casual fan the Rockets' style isn't exciting to watch because of
-too many free throws
-they are winning a lot of games

That said, I'm SURE that most writers at Grantland have "posts by Cheke64" bookmarked on their browsers. For the hot takes of course.

The Ron Artest rockets were never hated across the league. That's probably the most popular team we have had in 20 years.

The article is a bit back-handy but whatever.

The biggest problem I have is the FT issue. His writing sounds to me like he's saying either we shouldn't play to draw fouls or we don't deserve all the FTs. Both of those ideas are bs! Drawing fouls is a great strategy for every team-it would be even better for us if Howard could shoot a damn free throw.

We deserve all the FTs we get. I don't really think Harden flops, at least not more than the average player. He knows how to play to draw contact. All the great players have done it and still do it. Howard is fouled all the time and only about 25% of them get called. If teams (or this writer) are whiny about us shooting a lot of FTs then QUIT FOULING US ALL THE TIME.

OKC was fouling us like it was an art. The arm grabs alone were pissing me off. You can't say "they shoot too many FTs" and then say "just let them grab their arms, it's not a foul."

Definitely agree with you 100% all rockets fans know that it is McHale that is holding this team from its true potential...He is terrible with lineups and he plays Harden too many minutes no offensive identity just chuck up 3's a nba team should not look this bad on offense sets if we're not making the 3 ball we're pretty much doomed in games... hope we get a new coach soon and would love for McHale to be an assistant coach tho

 

I'm sure Kobe didn't like him very much during the playoffs

He basically said the strategic that the Rockets using this year has only one goal in mind and that's winning, and he compared us to the mid 2000 Spurs and the bad boy Pistons.
