I wonder what Phoenix want? They seem set at PG and C. I think they can use some help particularly at the 2 and 4 spots. Seems like T Jones and Troy Daniels would have decent value to the Suns. Jones + Daniels + NOP pick + Terry might be enough to convince them, if they feel like he is likely to bolt. Even then, it's possible they think they can get more for him after he's signed or in a summer sign n trade or even that they prefer to trade Bledsoe. I can see that happening. Not to mention they signed Zoran. I don't know if that matters at all, but it might.
Phoenix GM came from Boston. He clearly wants a star. And the best way to go about it is draft picks. The NO pick would be the biggest asset for the Rockets. Whether another team is willing to pay more is another story.

hahaha.....No way Goran leaves Phoenix to go to the ****show known as the LA Lakers. Houston is very much in play. Goran has a comfort level with Morey/Mcfail that only phoenix can match.
Dragic and Bledsoe can handle 1 and 2 spot. They don't need a backup SG for now, as they have Gerald Green and they probably want to give Ennis some burn sooner or later. 4 is the biggest need in PHX. Frye's shoes were too big for Tolliver. Kieff is handling nicely the four spot for now, but he's undersized and won't cut it against elite PFs. What PHX needs from 4 is reliable outside shooting, some defense and rebounding, so Jones is out of the question.
Honestly I see the Suns trading Isaiah Thomas away before they would trade Dragic. Relatively cheap contract, young, instant offense off the bench....moving Thomas would be easier I'd think. You know what you get from a backcourt of Dragic and Bledsoe from their performance last year so why rock the boat?
I know you're being sarcastic, but for those not "getting it," since Clutch is posting in this thread, the vast audience out there can assume this thread has some value. As for his comment, I certainly agree. Absent The Dragon having an issue with the "i" word, and so far, so good with that, he and his agent will certainly go for a max or near max deal, as Clutch pointed out. How the Suns think they're going to afford to pay two point guards max or near max deals is a mystery to me. They aren't paying Thomas chump change, either. From Dragic's comment, he considers himself a one. The Suns should do a deal to move him while he has value. Otherwise, this summer they could end up with Dragic gone and nothing in return. Perhaps they'll move Thomas instead (as Stedd speculated above), but he's an ideal backup for Bledsoe (who they seem committed to). In my opinion, like Lowry, Dragic wants to be "the man" at the point guard spot. I don't think he's going to be happy, long term, being constantly moved around from one spot to another. Players like to know their role. The better they are, the more they want their position, their role, locked down, with rare exceptions (Sampson willingly moving from the 5, his natural position, to the 4 when the Rocks got Olajuwon, then playing the 5 when Dream would get ejected for fighting or was in foul trouble). Again, in my opinion.

because you don't lock in nearly 40% of your cap on two pgs when you're not a playoff team. The Suns may not want to trade Dragic but i don't see him resigning to be a part of a three guard rotation on a non-contender.
lol BS. Morey will not lock the cap down on a PG. The team is not a championship caliber team until they get that top tier PF. Dragic would be underused here with Harden running the offense. Also he has this player option and definitely Morey is not doing a PO. Dragic abandoned us before easily so no way they trust him to stay again or I assume they aren't stupid enough to trust he will not leave since he showed no loyalty before. Harden runs the offense.
If morey pulls off one of these deals, he'll get executive of the year. If he pulls off both, you might as well give him a lifetime award.
So much fail in this post. Everyone knows Dragic is opting out this summer. That's not an issue for Morey.
other than Ariza, all our forwards are average/mediocre or unproven.... if we had a pf worth a damn... we wouldn't be shopping for one...
Rockets don't require a "top tier" PF at all. They just need someone consistent and productive that can play decent defense without fouling. That would be a huge upgrade from the gaping hole that exists now. They need another perimeter creator besides Harden and PG is the position where that should come from. Think TP & Manu instead relying on just one guy 100% of the time.
? They were one win away from being a playoff team last year and only lost out to Dallas on the last day of the season. As far as two of them being point guards, yes they are both point guards but both co-existed fairly well on a 49-win team last year. By that measure, locking in 40% of your cap to your STARTING BACK COURT, regardless of their labeled position, on a 49-win team isn't a stretch. Brooklyn and Golden State have done so and I'm sure Washington will do the same once Beal is up for an extension.
lol Not a max player though. To pay two max player guards is ridiculous especially when it doesn't make us a championship caliber team. A max player Dragic needs to be a high usage player and with Harden as the high usage playmaker means Dragic will be underutilized. We do need a combo guard.
