    Wohooo..

Plowman doesn't consider himself an underdog. If a trade isn't completed it will be a disappointment on his part. He feels that this is his trade. If it is completed or not is riding on his shoulders. It's on PLOW. If a trade is not completed its on PLOW.

    Clutchfans Chorus: WAIT A MINUTE

IF A TRADE DOES NOT HAPPEN ITS ON #PLOWNATION

Canaan played the other night. Jones is injured. NOP are a good team.

We got nothing to look forward to other than maybe Brandon Bass and FA. Morey will have one last crack at it.

IF we go into next year without improving the roster Dwight will leave. IMO I don't think Dwight and Harden care for each other too much anymore. The body language is bad. Again, just opinion.

So Canaan is gone? He's certainly raised his stock early this season.

I wouldnt trade papa considering goran and milsap are free agents and it might end up being a rental.

NOP being a good team doesn't mean they'll make the playoffs. They look to be exactly what most thought: first or second team out, beat up on weaker teams but struggle against the good ones. 12-14 pick is a nice asset.

The negativity around here is ridiculous.

^^^ ya this is starting to become a problem now. the impotent pensioner has ventured out of the fire mchale thread and proceeded to infect the entire garm with his smartest guy in the room shtick from thread to thread. on the plus side he's no longer spewing his bestest friends with the moreynator fable. but still a problem nonetheless.

About DM not exploring options for Asik as soon as we got Howard. He's not an idiot and he's always exploring every option. If we couldn't move him at the deadline when he would have been more valuable to a lot of other teams, there's no reason we could have moved him earlier in the year. And done better than the NOP pick, I mean. Mainly I meant it was wrong to suggest that, after getting Howard, Asik's tradability came and went. He was immediately and openly disappointed and basically requested a trade from the get -- that doesn't put us in the best bargaining position.

In the end I was surprised we did as well as we did getting that pick.

Obviously we'd be better off having Asik on the team. But not a disgruntled Asik and he had every reason to be disgruntled. He deserves to start and that couldn't happen with DH. People say Morey doesn't care about players enough but as soon as Asik made it clear he wanted to move on Morey started looking for destinations for him.

What I was saying was wrong was the fact of a missed window to make a better trade.

I thought that was a reasonable question. One out of my three posts on this 13K post thread.

I remember that I made the mistake of trying to share a small (very vague) thing that I should have realized would have been scrutinized and I wouldn't be able to say what I knew. I remember that I went about it the wrong way, I remember I acted foolish, I remember I requested the mods remove my posts, and I remember I apologized for being stupid. You want some blood?

I was joking before about the fact that the thread never much changes and yet I'm addicted to clicking on it. I don't have a problem with the thread. I was only having some fun at my own expense.

My hunch has always been that Morey was told to milk the 5/5/15m contracts as much as possible. Both the Lin and Asik were bought high and sold when they were at their least valuable. Asik should have been dealt last offseason, for probably a 1st round + a rotation player, Lin should have been held until next season and either offered a minimum salary or just let him expire. The only clear benefit for making the trades NOW is to Les's pocketbook.

You mean the only clear benefit in hindsight. We had to get rid of those contracts to offer Bosh the max. Everything we did in the offseason was about clearing cap space for a max player. It has nothing to do with Les, who has been very willing to spend to win.

ya i wasn't criticizing DM's effort to get a trade done or how asik the player was handled. what i'm second-guessing was his desire for a pick in return as opposed to a productive player. i'm not doubting that the 2015 NOP pick was the best we could get, just that preserving/clearing max capspace for that 3rd superstar may not have been worth the multifaceted gamble it entailed. we shall see, he still has a few months to pull the rabbit out of the hat during the season itself. but for diehard rocket fans who have witnessed excellence long ago, this current roster looks like an unbalanced mess. i mean as a fan who does not even want mchale coaching the team, i actually feel bad for him when i look at the bench he's been given to work with. one might liken our situation to 'tanking (the salary cap) for the title' lol

I want the Rockets to add depth immediately, but I'm not freaking over getting blitzed by Memphis. The Rockets will look different next Spring, and that's when I will start paying more attention to specific match ups.

Let's all agree on one thing, though. The Rockets absolutely positively don't want to meet Memphis in the playoffs, especially without home court.

I could not agree with you more. Memphis is always a nightmare match up for any team in the playoffs. But what real depth is there to add? I have no idea.

How much are we risking the longevity of our cornerstones in Harden and Howard if we don't bring in someone sooner than later?
    Will they hang around?
