I have said it before - the only negatives I have heard were about McHale - also about how they don't think Dwight is serious about winning (playful etc) They also know if they sign their, Morey may flip them quick
no, it's called veteran depth from players who have skillsets complementary to your stars that don't impact your ability to pursue a big name free agent later.
Veteran depth would be someone who can contribute. like Jason Terry. I'm not real sure either of those guys you mentioned would provide any contribution to this team other than cheerleader. Think Juwan Howard on the last few MIA teams... That being said, I am open to anything at this point. We lose leads when our bench enters the game, and to make matters worse, the injury bug seems to have found us early on.
I appreciate inside info but, continually clicking on this thread, I'm starting to feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick Lucy's football. Fool me 50 times and it's got to be my fault.
I'm in the same boat. I want to believe Morey will pull something out of the hat, but I am not feeling optimistic. The lack of a playmaker to help Harden is as big as the lack of depth in the front court.
I absolutely think Morey will make at least one big move by the trade deadline. And I always give the benefit of the doubt to potential insiders; better to suffer 10 fakes than to run off one legit one IMO. I just don't know why I keep clicking this particular thread. If there's news it will show up in its own thread. Morey never stops working the phones though and we have some assets. I expect a significantly improved roster by the deadline. That doesn't mean it will happen of course and any legit insider in this thread knows that Lucy often pulls the ball away from C. Brown even in the closest circumstances. Certainly it was folly for any of them to include a timetable. The only reliable timetables are written into the NBA rules.
a part of me has sort of given up hope on the rockets front office. specifically with last season's asik saga. we could have just traded him early in the season and gotten back a productive player in return, who would have become part of our core rotation building chemistry and experience. instead we missed out on asik's production most of the season, only to trade him to a competitor during the summer for an iffy asset that's still doing absolutely nothing for us this season as well. constantly "swinging for the fences" is handicapping this franchise, essentially bearhugging us into a constant "wait mode" season after season...while the centerpiece approaches age 29 with 11 seasons already behind him. at some point the architect needs to swallow his pride, capitulate, and release the hounds into the pasture..
Wonder where Plowman is today. Probably off somewhere celebrating since he's so pumped that Canaan's getting moved as part of the "5 course meal."
No. I just think I'm silly for continuing to open a thread that's about 1% (possible) insiders and 99% hating on (possible) insiders. It's boring.
about DM having been able to trade asik for a productive player last season or about the NOP pick paying us dividends this current season, or both?
