There are no stellar 3 pt shooting PFs in the NBA other than Dirk Nowitzki and who will not be coming

The good one is Ryan Anderson and he is likely not coming either

and there are the above the average ones

    2. Not seeing it either.

I think a solid 2 way backup C and another scorer or facilitator off the bench are needed

Just a brutal loss. Been looking at this over and over again. It helps.

Well, I expected us to lose this game, but I was hoping it wouldn't be like this.

Terrible effort defensively tonight, and especially James Harden offensively. Idk what's wrong with him, but whenever we get down, Harden seems to shut down and just quit. He didn't make one aggressive move all night. He reminded me of TMac in the "Toronto game" years back. Just terrible effort offensively from him. I can't get too upset with him because he pretty much single handedly won the last two games for us, but damn. Gotta see more effort from your best player.

The game seemed like the culmination of everything that the Rockets have been doing poorly in the last few games. And Bill Worrell saying to expect Jones out for another month(!) was like a punch to the gut, that could be a devastating blow. We need his offensive skills, he is the only big man besides Dwight that can create anything on offense. DMo has just been terrible in the starting lineup, as evidenced by McHale benching him to start the 2nd half.

Canaan is too good offensively to not play when we are in such a rut on that end. Use him as the primary backup, limit the injury prone Beverley's minutes, and use Terry as spot minutes to backup Harden. Garcia shouldn't be playing at all either.

Papanikolaou is starting to suck... hard. He better get it together soon and start knocking down some threes.

We need Jones back to limit DMo's and Black's playing time if nothing else. Sheesh, they have been awful.

All in all, it's understandable for the Rockets to be dead tonight after one of the more physical NBA games you'll ever see the night before, but these trends I've outlined have been showing up for awhile. We need to get back to playing good defense and eventually guys like Ariza, Harden and Terry have to start knocking down shots.

Yup. Really pissed about him being out so long, he was playing so well to start the year too.

Is Morey letting perfect be the enemy of good?

He could have seriously fortified the roster this offseason but instead let it take a step backward on depth because he wanted a third star or flexibility to acquire one so badly.

Imagine how good this team would be if he had filled the cap room by acquiring ANY starting caliber power forward. It's not like we didn't know big man depth was an issue, you could tell just looking at the roster that it was a question mark at best, lacking at worst, and one injury away from having major issues.

Well, we lost Jones, and now look where we are... imagine if it had been Dwight instead?

I think if we just build around H&H and get tons of Spurs-ian depth we can win a title. Morey used to be really good at building depth... wtf happened? We get two stars and suddenly he can't build a bench?

The thing is, will our three's fall at a good enough rate for the entirety of a playoff series?

Maybe.........but will it be sustainable enough to win us a championship across multiple series? I do not think it will.

It really depends on whether or not they allow Robin Lopez to hack the crap out of Dwight without blowing a whistle, then the second Robin falls to the ground its an instant foul on Dwight!!

Hey NBA!! Let the big men play FOR ****S SAKE!!

Embarrassing effort. Grizzlies defense is great, but we threw some lazy, dumb passes. We couldn't hit a shot either. 2nd night of a B2B, but I expected a better effort. There will be more chances for redemption.

btw- Dwight is lucky he doesn't have traveling called every post play.

I blame the whole thing on the coaching staff, forget b2b. The Rox looked like this season's Lakers out there. No excuses.
