Mchale says move the ball, but moving the ball with no purpose is a waste of effort.

And when you do move ball, who is actually going to create a play?

    Bev rarely will
Ariza will do his awkwards drives or brick from 3
    Harden is slumping
Howard double him cause he will turn it over
Dmo aint a threat to shoot

Need more ballhandlers who can make something happen when they have the ball

It is very simple: Rockets need bench.

Pay attention. That's strength of schedule played so far.

    Not true.

You play your division 4x a piece the rest of your conference 3 or 4 times. So the southwest is already at a disadvantage to any other team in the conference in terms of SOS.

LOL at you. Terrence would not have made a difference tonight. We got smoked by almost 30 and it would have been 40 if the regular rotation guys had played this out. Get real man. A fresh Terrence may have decreased the differential by about 5 points because it was obvious everybody had dead legs from playing last night. But that's a fresh Terrence. A Terrence playing on the back end of back-to-backs would have not even tried to shoot that twist-and-screw-and-unwind excuse for a jump shot that Memphis would've gladly conceded to him.

It's pure ridiculousness to believe Terrence would've made a difference tonight.

Bottom line is this is the same team as last year except Asik ain't pouting in the locker room so we can hope he eventually shows up and plays for us. Bottom line is teams with multiple legit big men like most of the playoff teams in the West have are going to give us hell because we ain't big enough to defend them and we ain't skilled enough at the big man spots to force them away from their double big lineups.

You guys have reached absurdity when you look at basically four bigs in Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Kostas Koufas, and Jon Leuer who are all some combination of 7-foot tall, 280 lbs, skilled shooters, and skilled post players and you think Terrence would have made a difference.

We are NOT GOOD ENOUGH to beat Memphis or any other top notch playoff team in 7-game series even with a day of rest between every game and with home court advantage with this rotation of players, specifically this rotation of bigs.

Dwight was and still is totally pissed off that we traded Asik and we have not gotten another primary big man that can play both alongside and behind him when we go up against these giants.

Terrence IS NOT the answer. Deal with it.

    Terry:

They put a number on us tonight but a lot was self-inflicted. On a back to back, must value possessions.

    Ball movement good tonight?

It was moving when we weren't turning it over.

    First poor defensive effort tonight.

    Ariza:

When we made mistakes, they capitalized on them. They straight up beat our ass and that's the truth.

Shots we work on everyday, they're just not falling. Can't worry about it. Move to the next game, continue to work and get better.

There's things we need to work on and get better at.

I know that. It's still pointless to discuss in the NBA WHERE EVERYONE PLAYS EACH OTHER.

    I agree completely.

I understand that Morey wants a third star, but this team needs real tangible upgrades depth wise. My fear is that Morey does nothing until the last day of the deadline. The quicker that the Rockets add a rotation player or two, the better they will gel together and also add a few wins which can be the difference between a 7 seed and a 3 seed.

I'm not declaring them contenders either. I think having an easier schedule is part of early success for both teams, the same way it was for the Blazers last year.

Really? You think this is basically a 45 win team? Lol

Its just one game relax. The whole sky is falling thing after a loss is old. We are contenders yes but all teams go through slumps. Almost all teams who went 9-1 at the start of the season no matter the schedule have been contenders and only one team out of that group was not. That team did not have a 10 pt differential for its games. Rockets are tired and they will get better. Mchales teams always suck at the beginning of the season and get better as the season goes. The fact that we started 9-1 should put us around the 56 - 60 wins category. Rockets need to bolster their bench to make it past the first round in the west.

We're talking about our record up to this point. That chart reflects strength of schedule up to this point. Not sure what is difficult to comprehend about that.

I don't think i'v ever witnessed a worse 3 game stretch in my last 5 years of intensely watching the Rockets.

The Philly game, The OKC game, and now the Memphis game, even if we did win 2 of those, we have played just absolutely awful and it's all the more disappointing considering all the talent we have.

Thought we'd drop this game, but not by nearly as much as we did. But the last few games now look like we should've seen this coming.

Is Harden injured? He's taken a few knocks in recent games. Or is he just tired?

On a separate note, the commentary in the OKC game mentioned some ridiculous stat about how raw we were (something like 5 players total with 3 or more years NBA experience - I forget exactly what). But that says something about how inexperienced the side really is and the need to bring more experience in rather than 1st time NBA players. A far cry from being title contenders!

I agree. I think this team is a solid bench away from being a real contender- and I hate the idea of us wasting this team waiting for a superstar that won't come. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case.

Do you have any concerns about the sheer volume of 3s we're jacking up? It feels like we wasted every fast break opportunity we got with an ill-advised 3.
